Bug#320645: fetchmailconf: Incorrect port for IMAP written to config file after using protocol probe

2005-07-30 Thread Pete de Zwart
Package: fetchmailconf
Version: 6.2.5-12
Severity: normal

To the maintainer of the fetchmailconf package;

I set up a server to use POP3 as the desired protocol, then clicked on "Probe
for supported protocols", fetchmailconf found that the server supports IMAP and
changed it's selection to that.

The problem is that when I saved the configuration without making any more
changes, the port written out to the config file was 110 instead of 143.

Let me know what I can do to help squash this bug.

Regards,

    Pete de Zwart.

Yup, that sorted the problem out, I patched the file, built the package
from source and reinstalled the authdaemon and it no longer has the
GECOS information as part of the username.

Great stuff Willi.

    Pete de Zwart.

Bug#315636: sqwebmail: Doesn't parse out extra data in the comments field of /etc/passwd

2005-06-25 Thread Pete de Zwart
Sure, I'll do it on Monday when I'm back in the office and let you know the
results of the compiled debain source package and if it has resolved the
issue.

OK, the problem really was wrong parsing of the GECOS field. The patch is
attached. Do you know how to recompile courier?

Hi Willi,

Couier-authdaemon is using the "out of the box" debian config, is
there a specific file I can check for you?

Did your change anything concerning the used authentication modules?

2005-06-24 Thread Pete de Zwart

Version: 0.47-4

sqwebmail doesn't parse out any extra elements from the comments field after
the name.

It should only read up to before the first comma, then ignore the rest.

For example, this is my entry in /etc/passwd:

dezwart:x:1000:1000:Pete de Zwart0411 648
655:/home/dezwart:/bin/bash

Thus, sqwebmail believed my name is:

    Pete de Zwart0411 648 655

Where as, it should only use:

    Pete de Zwart

Having to change the From: field for each e-mail is a bit of a pain.

Regards,

    Pete de Zwart.

Bug#315506: tar has two man page entries for --totals

2005-06-22 Thread Pete de Zwart
Package: tar
Version: 1.14-2
Severity: minor

In the tar manpage it reads:

   --totals

Which seems redundant.

Bug#315021: gcc-3.3: ICE compiling Linux 2.6.12 x86 using kernel-package

2005-06-20 Thread Pete de Zwart
Moving the .config over to another computer and compiling it didn't elicit
the same bug behaviour, so there is more evidence to suggest a hardware
failure.

I'll have to toy around with `make-kpkg` from "kernel-package" to find out
what the exact gcc invocation looks like, I'll send you an update once I
have been able to do so.

Regards,

Pete de Zwart.

That would be nice.

Both. So, what did the gcc invocation you tried look like?

gcc got a SEGV when compiling the source tree of Linux 2.6.12 with `make-kpkg

I have been able to reproduce the problem multiple times, and have also
attempted at getting the temporary files are requested in the README.Bugs file,

error.

Bug#314566: acidlab: Patches for graphing data where year > 2003 and bugfix

2005-06-16 Thread Pete de Zwart
Package: acidlab
Version: 0.9.6b20-10
Severity: important

To the maintainer of acidlab,

Attached are two patches for updating acidlab to be able to graph data
where the year > 2003.

It also fixes a bug in acid_stat_time.php, where the year in the HTML
form is 2004 but the data passed back to the CGI is 2003.

    Pete de Zwart.
