Bug#1036231: mbedtls: please update to 3.4.0 for cmake support

2023-08-26 Thread Philippe Coval
Package: mbedtls
Followup-For: Bug #1036231

Dear Maintainer,

cmake support is also desirabe on current version.

I just suggested the idea upstream for 2.28 branch:

https://github.com/Mbed-TLS/mbedtls/issues/298#issuecomment-1694199841#

I think it would worth upstreaming a patch for providing the extra file,

Feel free to join IRC #debian-iot if there is a need to coordinate

ps: May this ticket title changed to just support cmake in current version

Description : ZAP is Zigbee Cluster Library configuration tool and
generator

ZAP is Zigbee Cluster Library configuration tool and generator.
It allows users to configure their ZCL application using web-like interface and
then generate the required artifacts for this application, based upon the
templates inside a given ZCL SDK.

This project would be a good candidate for debian-iot or js team.

Note according to manifest:

There is a dependency on electron, so it may not be trivial to rebuild from
source.

Bug#977736: iotjs: CVE-2020-29657 : False positive ?

2021-01-08 Thread Philippe Coval
Package: iotjs
Followup-For: Bug #977736

Dear Maintainer,

As iotjs's Debian maintainer,
I have forwarded this issue to upstream tracker:

https://github.com/jerryscript-project/iotjs/issues/1955

But, It looks like that "main_print_unhandled_exception" function is in
jerryscript CLI program not in the library that iotjs link with

It can be easily verified using:

readelf -Wsa /usr/bin/iotjs | grep print_

   610: 00020030 1 FUNCGLOBAL DEFAULT 14 print_stacktrace
   776: 0006afa016 FUNCGLOBAL DEFAULT 14 jerry_port_print_char

So I think this scanner is a false positive.

I don't know if upstream iotjs plan to jerryscript soon
and IMHO, it is not worthy of backporting the related patch
because it wont be compiled.

Hi,

I just shared a version at:

https://mentors.debian.net/package/iotjs

https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/i/iotjs

Review or sponsorship is welcome,
No lintian warnings reported,
I just need an uploader.

I can also relocate my git to exiting team (JS, IoT, Collab?)

https://github.com/rzr/iotjs/tree/debian

Note that upstream is using gitmodules, so I used:

tag=release_1.0
gbp buildpackage \
--git-upstream-tag=$tag \
--git-ignore-branch \
--git-submodules \
--git-no-pristine-tar \
--git-pristine-tar-commit

It built fine on Ubuntu's PPA supported arch (x86, arm, ppc):

https://launchpad.net/~rzr/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+packages

Meanwhile feel free to ask hints or if you want binaries
for your favorite configuration,

FYI, I originally started this work on ARMv6 (using raspbian on Pi0)

2016-07-14 Thread Philippe Coval
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-

Hi,

As spectacle is depending on urlgrabber,
It would be nice to keep maintaining it.

So I updated to latest release and disabled online checks :

https://mentors.debian.net/packages/uploader/rzr%40gna.org

Also may I suggest to switch to collab team ?

May this helps : https://github.com/rzr/urlgrabber

Bug#824155: RFP: iotivity -- Seamless device-to-device connectivity IoT framework

2016-05-12 Thread Philippe Coval
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: iotivity
  Version : 1.1.0
Upstream Author : Open Connectivity Foundation
* URL : http://iotivity.org
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: C++
Description : Seamless device-to-device connectivity IoT framework

An open source reference implementation of the OCF standard specifications
IoTivity Base Libraries are included.

Status :

I started to package a Quick and Dirty version, and it is building on Ubuntu
PPA (x86)

https://github.com/rzr/iotivity/commits/debian

Now To move on, I'd like to find a team that could share the effort.

Can you suggest one who is experienced with scons build system ?

If none I will probably use pkg-collab-maint.

I might switch this bug to ITP, unless a scons wizard wants to take of it his

Bug#784709: [PATCH] use lsblk to attemp to guess partition's fs type

2015-06-07 Thread Philippe Coval
If not found it will fallback to use other tools.

Note that fs_type function is not expected to return error code
different than zero even if it failed to detect type.

If filesystem is undermined then NOT-DETECTED will be echoed.

This change will prevent mount to hang on extended part (#768902)

Meanwhile, here is a simpler approach to prevent mounting extd part

The package description is:
Spectacle is a tool for managing and creating RPM spec files. It includes the
tool to generate spec files from metadata file in YAML format, and tools to
convert spec files or spec-builder's ini files to YAML format.

For spectacle managed packages, all generic packaging information will be

2012-10-29 Thread Philippe Coval
Package: xbmc
Version: 2:11.0~git20120510.82388d5-1

Dear Maintainer,

I suppose that one can be forwarded upstream, I will do if needed

Please support by default a SDTV (PAL/NTSC) skin if display is not large
enough...

There is a Project Mayem skin
but I am unsure it is supported or can be packaged separately ?

hi kibi thank you for notifying this

But something makes me think those tasks could be simplified if not avoided
if xulrunner had a Provides: Field or using by a metapackage ...
this is just a suggestion I might miss something ...

Bug#630255: [debian] testdisk

2012-01-14 Thread Philippe Coval

Well I have no real plan , beside speeding up the integration
if you can do that no problem that would be perfect

but if you need some time or help
I can setup a git tree on alioth then you will just have to release it
but iicr putting under collabmaint is the debian process ...

We can wait 6.14 then I can upload to mentors.debian.net

Skip my latest post and here are some additional info to clarify :

Actually that report :
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=620056

... said that repo

http://git.kernel.org/?p=status/powertop/powertop.git;a=blob;f=TODO;hb=HEAD

... was used , but it looks it went offline

funny irony that linaro hosts that git repo now :-)

Any feedback from intel ? If not I'll post on their forum

2010-03-21 Thread Philippe Coval

* URL : http://freewrl.sourceforge.net
* License : LGPL
  Programming Lang: C
Description : VRML browser for 3D contents works also as mozilla plugin

Player aims to be fully VRML97 compliant, complete with scripting in Perl,
Java and Javascript, and EAI
 .
It is written mostly in Perl with some C for library interfaces rendering,
and uses OpenGL (Mesa) for graphics.

=== Notes : ===

  * that vrml viewer was in debian long time ago but went away...

  * upstream is still active , and many efforts are done
by my friend Michel of myosotis project
to made it available to debian/ubuntu users also ...

So I am trying to help and hope we (co-maintainers) can get it back
into debian's main and ubuntu as well

  * I just set up a git repo on debian's alioth
(pkg-multimedia team which IMHO fits best)
, imported previous version and working on an current release...

  * Currently (20100320) latest release builds and runs on most arch ...

Sponsoring, co-maintenance, or testing will be appreciated.

Hi
I see this has been updated (2008) at :
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/predictive/

But there it's still out of sync from upstream :
http://www.dr-qubit.org/download.php?file=predictive/predictive-0.23.6.tar.gzcounter=predictive.tar.gz

I'll test it and give feedback if I can provide help

 thanks.

The patch, I Think is similar to:
 http://mirrors.evolva.ro/gentoo-x86-portage/app-i18n/zhcon/files/zhcon-0.2.6%2Blinux-headers-2.6.26.patch

 Elías

hi

thanx to remind me this issue

Ubuntu used the same patch, I merged in upcoming version at :
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/a/atitvout/

I think it is ready to be uploaded like francois did for previous version

btw, maybe packaging lrmi alone would be a good thing for later

Bug#394465: debian unicorn package

2009-04-11 Thread Philippe Coval
I've substantially re-worked the package build, as well as updated the
source so that it builds on the following kernel versions:

Great, you finished what I started, call me anytime now , I have bunch of stuff
to be done :)

I don't have time to become formal maintainer but I'm more than willing
 ...
Would one of the subscribers to this bug please be willing to look at
my updates and consider whether it's fit for an NMU ?

Yes a NMU would be fine, maybe you can contact dan...@d.org

He uploaded my previous version :
 http://packages.qa.debian.org/u/unicorn/news/20080110T084719Z.html

About me I can not test the driver anymore since I dont have that bewan modem

Thanks for all, Nick and others of this thread
Let's hope that unicorn will back in debian someday
