Do you know where I can find information about the time_t64 transition?

Bug#1066849: libelf1 Version mismatch (0.190-1+b1 vs 0.191-1)

2024-03-14 Thread Rémi DUCCESCHI
Package: libelf1
Version: 0.190-1+b1

Hello,
It seems that since the last update (2 days ago), the version of the package
has not been updated.
When I check the version in Debian, it says 0.190-1+b1
(https://packages.debian.org/fr/sid/libelf1), but when I check the changelog,
I get .0191-1
(https://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs/main/e/elfutils/elfutils_0.191-1_changelog).

I guess libelf1 is linked to elfutils and should have the same version?

Apparently because of this, debootstrap is failing a new install of Debian Sid
from the daily mini.iso
(https://d-i.debian.org/daily-images/amd64/daily/netboot/):
dpkg --configure complains about mismatch versions.

Thanks for your work! If this is not the correct place for this, let me know
where to post it.

Best regards,

Bug#917234: [initramfs-tools] Unable to detect root device

2018-12-30 Thread Rémi DUCCESCHI
Hello,

It seems to be solved for me. The problem happenned when I was trying to
upgrade.

What I did:
- reboot on old kernel (4.18)
- do a `dist-upgrade`
   - this worked fine, no initframfs error
- reboot on latest kernel (4.19)

I haven't had any issue since.

Best regards,

Bug#888383: kodi: FTBFS with FFmpeg 3.5

2018-11-14 Thread Rémi DUCCESCHI
Hello,

I recently did the following bug report on kodi-bin because of broken
dependencies: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=912994

I just saw that in Ubuntu, they are depending on libavcodec58 for their
last version of kodi-bin (see https://packages.ubuntu.com/fr/cosmic/kodi-bin).
I wonder how hard it would be to take the work they did?

Best regards,

2018-11-05 Thread Rémi DUCCESCHI
Thanks for the fast reply! And sorry for the duplicated...

I'll wait for a fix ^^ Or do you know an easy way to can install kodi 17?
It seems the version in Testing has the same issue...

Cheers,

Bug#912994: kodi-bin: Broken dependency (should depends on libavcodec58)

2018-11-05 Thread Rémi Ducceschi
Package: kodi-bin
Version: 2:17.6+dfsg1-2+b1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

The package `kodi-bin` (and thus `kodi`) can't be installed in Sid anymore
because of broken dependencies.

In fact, `kodi-bin` depends on `libavcodec57`, which in turns depends on
`libx264-152` which doesn't exist anymore...

The package `libavcodec58` uses `libx264-155` which is a valid package.

I don't know if you should update the version of `libavcodec` or if the bug
comes from `libavcodec57`...

In the last case, let me know and I'll do a bug report on `libavcodec57`.

Best regards,

Bug#852458: steam:i386: Missing dependencies in steam package?

2017-01-24 Thread Rémi Ducceschi
Package: steam
Version: 1.0.0.54-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I just did a fresh install of Debian Sid on my computer, and I tried to install
Steam (along with bumblebee-nvidia). Steam was not able to load steamui.so
because of missing libraries. I had to manually install these packages in order
to make it work:
- libxtst6:i386
- libxrandr2:i386
- libglib2.0-0:i386
- libpulse0:i386

Should it be part of the steam package dependencies? I think it would help a
lot people in the future...

Also, to finish the installation, I needed to run "sudo ln -s
/usr/lib/mesa-diverted/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1" (I tried
the update-alternatives solution as described here:
http://askubuntu.com/a/517739, but I had an error saying that such alternatives
doesn't exist).

See message here: https://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2017/01/msg00694.html

Best wishes in 2017!

Rémi
