Bug#1023628: www.debian.org: missing distribution name changes in releases/trixie/index.wml

2022-11-07 Thread Rafa
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainers,

It seems to me that in file releases/trixie/index.wml, as of commit
bd44c0367d403f4c6efaa83c6373a24a7991a1bb, there are some distribution
name changes missing.

As a consequence, the currently published HTML page incorrectly states
that:

'The code name for the next major Debian release after bullseye is "trixie"'

I guess that the attached patch could fix this issue.

Regards,

Rafa.

Dear Maintainers,

It seems that there is something odd in the webmaster-team/webwml.git
repository at salsa regarding file english/News/2019/20190216.wml.

We get inconsistent results when we issue the git log command using
different arguments.

Commit with hash 9bd5a55d72acee622d9e25eecb70e1beb93d0ea4 was made in
December 2019, and it corresponds to a modification of file

So, I think that this bug can be closed.

Bug#927805: www.debian.org: number of developers in webwml/english/vote/2019/vote_001_quorum.txt looks incorrect

2019-04-23 Thread Rafa
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainers,

File webwml/english/vote/2019/vote_001_quorum.txt, as of commit
c6a0c8..., states:

Current Developer Count = 901
Q ( sqrt(#devel) / 2 ) = 15.8350876221131

I guess that the "Current Developer Count" value should be 1,003
instead of 901, because 1,003 is the number of developers in
vote_001_quorum.log (as of commit 88d434...) and it is the
number than makes "Q ( sqrt(#devel) / 2 ) = 15.8350876221131"
true.

If my calculations are correct:

sqrt(901)/2 = 15.0083310198036
sqrt(1003)/2 = 15.8350876221131

Bug#913396: www.debian.org: adding code for Spanish in webwml/english/template/debian/projectnews/footer.wml

2018-11-10 Thread Rafa
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainers,

Script webwml/english/template/debian/projectnews/footer.wml includes
code for several languages (but not for Spanish) when dealing with the
"translator" and "editor" tags. In case the text for any of those tags
includes at least a comma, an appropiate term, which depends on the
language, is substituted for the last comma.

The lack of a specific treatment for Spanish implies that the Spanish
translations get the default treatment, which means that the term
"and" is subsituted for the last comma.

We would like the Spanish case to be incorporated into the script. We
have discussed the issue briefly in the debian-l10n-spanish mailing
list, and we see two possible approaches to this:

1. Substitute the term "y" or "e" (whichever is correct in each case)
for the last comma.
2. Do not perform any substitution.

While the first approach would be the preferred one, it would probably
be quite hard to implement, as the Spanish rules that define whether the
term to use is "y" or "e" are, by no means, simple.

So, if the first approach were not practical, the second one (which is,
of course, much easier to implement) would be good enough. Moreover, in
this case the translator would have the chance to write in the wml page
the correct term ("y" or "e"), which is, I think, a most natural action
for a translator to perform.

In case the second approach is the one implemented, I provide a patch
that could, probably, do the job.

Regards,

Rafa.

Bug#910467: www.debian.org: security/2018/dsa-4309.wml points twice to CVE-2018-16151

2018-10-06 Thread Rafa
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainers,

Page security/2018/dsa-4309.wml points twice to CVE-2018-16151. It probably
should point to CVE-2018-16151 and to CVE-2018-16152, instead.

Rafa.

Bug#290922: Status of wxmaxima

2005-10-07 Thread Rafa Rodríguez Galván
Hi, Marco.

Some time ago, Javier Viñuales (vigu), Debian Developer,
promised me that, If I was going to maintain the wxmaxima
Debian package, he will help sponsor me. I continued packaging
different versions of wxmaxima, but they were not "official"
Debian packages, so I have been delayed with the last one.

Today, I asked Javier again, he replied that he continues interested
in sponsoring the package and requested me to send him the sources.
I acceded to the wxmaxima web page, but I found that the 0.6.2
version have been packaged by you.

Then, I read your message to Bug#290922:

> Hi,
>
>I am also interested to push wxmaxima into Debian archive.
>I have prepared an updated package (last version, built against
>libwxgtk2.6), here:

>If you are still interested, please let me know, and in case, we

>Regards
>Marco

The key is that I'm still interested: I would like to continue packaging
wxmaxima, because I was using it as a first package to start contributing
to the Debian community. Anyway, if you wish we can co-maintain the package,
or Javier and you can "co-sponsor" me, or we can use any other way we find
adequate.

Regards,
Rafa.

Strange problem... I have compiled and tested the last version (2.1.64-3)
and all is right with Emacs and M-x run-octave. I'm using emacs21
21.3+1-7, debianutils 2.8.4, kernel 2.6.5-mppe - i686.
