Bug#494405: asterisk: build depends on libc-client2007b-dev though libc-client2007b-dev not found in etch

2008-08-09 Thread Rene Cunningham
Package: asterisk
Version: 1:1.4.21.2~dfsg-2
Severity: serious
Justification: no longer builds from source

experimental version of asterisk (1:1.4.21.2~dfsg-2) found in trunk for
svn repo of pkg-voip doesnt build on etch as it requires
libc-client2007b-dev which is not found in etch.

$ fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage
dpkg-buildpackage: source package is asterisk
dpkg-buildpackage: source version is 1:1.4.21.2~dfsg-2
dpkg-buildpackage: source changed by Victor Seva [EMAIL PROTECTED]

dpkg-buildpackage: source version without epoch 1.4.21.2~dfsg-2
dpkg-checkbuilddeps: Unmet build dependencies: libc-client2007b-dev
dpkg-buildpackage: Build dependencies/conflicts unsatisfied; aborting.
dpkg-buildpackage: (Use -d flag to override.)

Ive been able to resolve all other build dependencies using libpri and
zaptel found in pkg-voip svn repo.

The package includes a backporting script that removes some later
features. Try running debian/backports/etch before building on Etch.

I ran debian/backports/etch before logging the bug report which resolved alot
of the dependencies.

Ive just ran debian/backports/etch.xorcom though this didnt appear to remove
libc-client2007b-dev as a build dependency.

A quick ammendment to sed has fixed this though. See attached patch.

Asterisk is now building on my etch box.

Cheers.

Well my Data Source is still there. I havent added any Data Templates
but im pretty sure 0.8.6h-2.1 has fixed my problem.

Thanks Sean.

strange. could you do me a favor and try the deb at

   http://people.debian.org/~seanius/cacti/sid/cacti_0.8.6h-2.1_all.deb

and let me know if this version has the same problems with new
 datasources after you upgrade?

Looking very good so far. My data source which contains multiple DS's is
sticking and showing in the lists. Ill create some graphs and some data
templates and keep you updated.

What was broken in 0.8.6h-2?

Bug#342838: debootstrap: Please include support for Ubuntu dapper

2005-12-10 Thread Rene Cunningham
Package: debootstrap
Version: 0.3.3
Severity: wishlist

The ubuntu version of debootstrap includes
/usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/dapper which is almost exactly the same as
/usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/breezy.

Ive copied over this script to debians /usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/ and
built a dapper chroot with no problems at all.

Could /usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/dapper be included with debians
debootstrap?

Bug#335630: python2.4-moinmoin: RSS feed uses xmlns:None

2005-10-24 Thread Rene Cunningham
Package: python2.4-moinmoin
Version: 1.3.4-5
Severity: normal

When generating a RSS feed using the following URL:

http://[moinmoin-server]/RecentChanges?action=rss_rc

The output of the RSS feed includes the following XML namespace

rdf:RDF xmlns:None=http://purl.org/rss/1.0/;

xmlns:None seems to break the feed and will not load in my
aggregator (thunderbird).

Removing :None allows my aggregator to view the feed.

The feed is also broken using firefox as an aggregator.

I have python2.4-xml 0.8.4-1 installed.
