Bug#524886: uswsusp: USB headphone does not wake up?
Package: uswsusp Version: 0.8-1.1+b1 Severity: normal I have attached an Logitech USB headphone through an USB hub (DLink Dub-h7). The computer otherwise has no sound card, and per default, the usb headphone works fine. When I use uswsusp to wake the computer, said headphone does not work at all. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages uswsusp depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.9-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdirectfb-1.2-0 1.2.7-2direct frame buffer graphics - sha ii libgcc1 1:4.3.3-8 GCC support library ii libgcrypt11 1.4.4-2LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgpg-error0 1.6-1 library for common error values an ii liblzo2-2 2.03-1 data compression library ii libpci3 1:3.1.2-3 Linux PCI Utilities (shared librar ii libsplashy1 0.3.13-5 Library to draw splash screen on b ii libx86-1 1.1+ds1-2 x86 real-mode library Versions of packages uswsusp recommends: ii initramfs-tools 0.93.2 tools for generating an initramfs ii mount 2.13.1.1-1 Tools for mounting and manipulatin Versions of packages uswsusp suggests: pn splashy none (no description available) -- debconf information: uswsusp/compute_checksum: false uswsusp/no_snapshot: uswsusp/suspend_loglevel: uswsusp/no_swap: uswsusp/resume_offset: uswsusp/early_writeout: true uswsusp/image_size: 971957125 uswsusp/compress: true uswsusp/create_RSA_key: false uswsusp/snapshot_device: uswsusp/RSA_key_file: /etc/uswsusp.key uswsusp/max_loglevel: uswsusp/resume_device: /dev/sdd2 uswsusp/shutdown_method: platform uswsusp/encrypt: false uswsusp/splash: true uswsusp/RSA_key_bits: 1024 uswsusp/continue_without_swap: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#460125: Openoffice.org stacktraces and dies on on free(): invalid pointer: 0x428b5008
Rene Engelhard wrote: Hi, Robert Ribnitz wrote: Package: openoffice.org Severity: critical Err, no. How dooes it break your WHOLE system? Please go and read the bug severities. You have already reassigned the bug above --- Please enter the report below this line. --- When trying to start Openoffice, it dies (after a long hang). Hello Rene, according to my apt-file that non-existing program is a script in openoffice.org-common. It starts soffice (in the correct directory; passing on all parameters). This starting was done on a pristine system after logging in, and opening an (xfce4) terminal. If I read that stacktrace correctly, the problem is probably in libuno_sal.so.3 If I try to reproduce bug #446014, I get the same problem as reported Robert So you try to start something non-existing? ah. Can you please tuse the name of the program correctly ;-) Well, it it was a general problem this would have been reported earlier, so I doubt it is one, in any case I need more info for this. Not that I have a working i386 machine currently to check myself anyway... Grüße/Regards, René

Bug#425477: Add support for ext4 to e2fsprogs
Package: e2fsprogs Version: 1.39+1.40-WIP-2007.04.07+dfsg-2 Severity: wishlist --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hello, support for the new ext4 filesystem is in the kernel since version 2.6.19. It would therefore be nice if that were actually usable by a normal user (in that e2fsporgs have the capability to handle ext4 filesystems by default). There are varioud patches floating around, for ext4. Bug#420670: (Errors in daily htdig script; in debian etch) Installed htdig as required from apt-get upgrad due to kde file upgrades, but get errors daily in Debian v4.
Package: htdig-3.2 (This report was submitted by ant at zimage dot com; I am the former maintainer of this package) -- Hello. On my Debian v4, I did an apt-get upgrade two days ago and installed a few KDE upgrades and the required htdig (why?). The last two mornings I saw these e-mails: Envelope-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Delivery-date: Fri, 20 Apr 2007 06:25:56 -0700 From: Cron Daemon [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Cron [EMAIL PROTECTED] test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily ) X-Cron-Env: SHELL=/bin/sh X-Cron-Env: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin X-Cron-Env: HOME=/root X-Cron-Env: LOGNAME=root /etc/cron.daily/htdig: htdig: Run complete htdig: 1 server seen: htdig: www.htdig.org:80 130 documents htdig: Errors to take note of: Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/hts_template.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/attrs.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/OSs Ref: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/install.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/mirrors.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/howto-mirror.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/htdig-3.2/attrs.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/htdig-3.2/ Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/where.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/patches.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/devmailarchives.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/mailing.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/attr.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/hts_form.html HTTP statistics === Persistent connections: Yes HEAD call before GET : Yes Connections opened: 253 Connections closed: 253 Changes of server : 0 HTTP Requests : 253 HTTP KBytes requested : 1890.57 HTTP Average request time : 0.130435 secs HTTP Average speed: 57.29 KBytes/secs - Envelope-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Delivery-date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 06:25:56 -0700 From: Cron Daemon [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Cron [EMAIL PROTECTED] test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily ) X-Cron-Env: SHELL=/bin/sh X-Cron-Env: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin X-Cron-Env: HOME=/root X-Cron-Env: LOGNAME=root /etc/cron.daily/htdig: htdig: Run complete htdig: 1 server seen: htdig: www.htdig.org:80 130 documents htdig: Errors to take note of: Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/hts_template.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/attrs.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/OSs Ref: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/install.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/mirrors.html Ref: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/howto-mirror.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/htdig-3.2/attrs.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/htdig-3.2/ Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/where.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/patches.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/FAQ.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/dev/devmailarchives.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/mailing.html Not found: http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/attr.html Ref: +http://www.htdig.org/dev/htdig-3.2/hts_form.html HTTP statistics === Persistent connections: Yes HEAD call before GET : Yes Connections opened: 253 Connections closed: 253 Changes of server : 0 HTTP Requests : 253 HTTP KBytes requested : 1890.57 HTTP Average request time : 0.110672 secs HTTP Average speed: 67.5204 KBytes/secs Should I be concerned about this? Bug#375733: O: htdig -- WWW search system for an intranet or small internet
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I intend to orphan the htdig package. My maintainership has not been a promising one. I laso lack the time to do what I would consider helpful development work to the community. Whoever picks up the package should be aware of the fact that this is a package requiring a lot of work (to even get to a usable state). Upstream consists of a malinglist; the people on the list seem quite willing to help, but have similar problems with manpower so many projects face. In the hope this will be useful to help the community Robert Ribnitz The package description is: The ht://Dig system is a complete world wide web indexing and searching system for a small domain or intranet. This system is not meant to replace the need for powerful internet-wide search systems like Lycos, Infoseek, Webcrawler and AltaVista. Instead it is meant to cover the search needs for a single company, campus, or even a particular sub section of a web site. . As opposed to some WAIS-based or web-server based search engines, ht://Dig can span several web servers at a site. The type of these different web servers doesn't matter as long as they understand the HTTP 1.0 protocol. . Features: * Intranet searching * It is free * Robot exclusion is supported * Boolean expression searching * Configurable search results * Fuzzy searching * Searching of HTML and text files * Keywords can be added to HTML documents * Email notification of expired documents * A Protected server can be indexed * Searches on subsections of the database * Full source code included * The depth of the search can be limited * Full support for the ISO-Latin-1 character set . Disk space requirements: . The search engine will require lots of disk space to store its databases. Unfortunately, there is no exact formula to compute the space requirements. It depends on the number of documents you are going to index but also on the various options you use. To give you an idea of the space requirements, here is what I have deduced from our own database size at San Diego State University. . If you keep around the wordlist database (for update digging instead of initial digging) I found that multiplying the number of documents covered by 12,000 will come pretty close to the space required. . We have about 13,000 documents: 150MB index size with a 'wordlist' database 93MB index size without a 'wordlist' database . The package is available in two varieties, the 'stable', well-tested version (this one) and a less tested version (as 'htdig3.2'). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-686-smp Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#236561: htdig database format..
Hello, yes, the db format changed.. htdig 3.1.6 up to version 3.1.6-7, and from version 1:3.1.6-8 are in fact based on the htdig 3.1.6 branch (available on the htdig website). The library used in those packages is libdb2 (Berkeley DB, V2). The other versions of htdig (htdig 3.2.0b5, and b6) are based on the respective 3.2.0 (beta) downloads from the website. These versions offer quite a leap in functionality, but are not as fast. A tribute to that functionality is also a change in the (internal) database format. Since there are many people out there who require htdig (3.1.6) to be at the speed it is now, the decison was taken to roll back from the 3.2.0 to the 3.1.6, htdig 3.2.0 will become available as a separate db. I am in the process of building a package htdig3.2 (not to be in sarge), which will basically take up the (beta) 3.2 branch. All I have to offer are the packages at http://users.linuxbourg.ch/ribnitz/debian , which are my tries at building packages. I am really sorry.
