Bug#839599: powerline: plugin fails to load

2016-10-04 Thread Sergio Llorente Romano
I can confirm this bug.

I could solve the problem installing the package python3-powerline. Maybe vim is
configured to call python3 instead of the default python?

Bug#690835: xterm: Sometimes xterm does not show last lines of the output when xft font is used

2012-10-18 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: xterm
Version: 278-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When xterm is using Xft rendering of fonts, and the output reach the end of the
window, last lines are sometimes replaced by blank lines. The frequency of this
behaviour is not regular. For example, you can execute the 'ls' command twenty
times and see five times that the last lines are not shown, or see a normal
behaviour all times. Alt-tab and other actions cause the screen to refresh and
display everything.

The easiest way to reproduce this behaviour is call xterm with '-fa' option:

xterm -fa 'Bitstream Vera Sans Mono:style=Roman:size=11'

and press "return key" until reach the end of the window. Then two in three
times the last line is a blank line, rather than the expected prompt of the
shell and the cursor.

Bug#648841: gnome-shell: Alt-tab window switcher does not work when focus follow mouse

2011-11-15 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.0.2-5
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When focus-mode is set to "sloppy" or "mouse" in the windows manager
preferences (/apps/metacity/general/focus_mode), you cannot switch to a window
that is not under mouse-pointer by means of the Alt-tab method.

This bug has been already reported to GNOME bugzilla, where is claimed that it
has been fixed:

Thanks,
Sergio.

Bug#643712: GNOME or GTK slow down

2011-10-20 Thread Sergio Llorente
I have the same problem. It has been solved by changing the control
theme as it has been suggested by David Rogers.

Maybe the problem is related to drawing boxes with rounded corners,
since all the themes with slow down reported by Rogers have boxes with
rounded corners.

Thanks,
Sergio.

Bug#573548: texlive-latex-base: "[" and "]" symbols does not work properly in the environment "aligned" of amsmath

2010-03-12 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: texlive-latex-base
Version: 2009-7
Severity: normal

The environment "aligned" have a strange interaction with the symbols "[" and
"]". Fortunately, the synonyms "\lbrack" and "\rbrack" seems work perfectly.

A tex file affected by this bug is included. The log file and the dvi file are
also attached.

-- Package-specific info:
If you report an error when running one of the TeX-related binaries
(latex, pdftex, metafont,...), or if the bug is related to bad or wrong

other files that are needed, e.g. bibtex databases. Often it also helps
to include the logfile. Please, never send included pictures!

Bug#562062: devicekit-disks: Provide a way to set mount options.

2009-12-22 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: devicekit-disks
Version: 009-2

The entry /system/storage/default_options in gconf is not taken into account by
devicekit-disks as it is by gnome-mount.

A way to set mount options when devkit-disks is invoked from gnome may be

"gnome-mount" does honour /system/storage/default_options, so another option is
provide a way to say gnome-volume-manager that "gnome-mount" must be used
instead of devicekit-disks.

Bug#561737: Same problem

2009-12-22 Thread Sergio Llorente
I get the same problem that describes Wendy Elmer.

The output of the command

$ devkit-disks --show-info /dev/fd0

is identical to the floppy part of his attachment.

However I can mount the floppy with the next command:

$ devkit-disks --mount /dev/fd0
Mounted /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Disks/devices/fd0 at /media/floppy0

or this other one:

$ gnome-mount --device /dev/fd0

and a new floppy icon appears in Nautilus under "computer", labeled
"floppy0" and with the expected behaviour. The previous floppy drive
icon is also there without any change (same pop-up with the message
"Unable to mount location No medium in the drive" when is clicked).

The "Palimpsest" utility cannot detect the medium in the drive either
(with the floppy mounted or not mounted).

Thanks,
Sergio Llorente.

Bug#509123: /usr/share/vim/vim71/syntax/matlab.vim: Vim check spell of whole code in matlab files

2008-12-18 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: vim-runtime
Version: 1:7.1.314-3+lenny2
Severity: minor
File: /usr/share/vim/vim71/syntax/matlab.vim
Tags: patch

@Spell and @NoSpell clusters are usually used in syntax files of different
languages in order
to check spelling only in strings, comments and similar regions.

syntax/matlab.vim file does not use @Spell in "matlabComment" and
"matlabString" and the
default behaviour is spell checking whole text in the file.

A trivial patch is included if only strings and comments are wanted to be spell
checked in
matlab files.

Bug#508447: vim-gui-common: Shell execution of program in background fails when "-f" option is used in gvim

2008-12-11 Thread Sergio Llorente
Ok, but I am not suggesting remove "-f" option from
/usr/share/applications/gvim.desktop

I just was pointing out an unexpected (in my opinion) behaviour of the
gvim shell escape (!) when "-f" option is used.

Cheers.
Sergio.

Bug#508447: vim-gui-common: Shell execution of program in background fails when "-f" option is used in gvim

2008-12-11 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: vim-gui-common
Version: 1:7.1.314-3+lenny2
Severity: normal

If you invoke gvim with "-f" option (for example, if you open gvim from debian
menu), then you
cannot execute a program in background from the shell provided by gvim with the
command "!".

This minor bug has effects on some plugins, such as LatexSuite.

Example that works perfectly:

~$ gvim
:! xeyes &

Example that fails:

~$ gvim -f
:! xeyes &

The program xeyes is launched but is killed almost instantanly.

Another example:
If you use the LatexSuite plugin, the command "\lv" for viewing DVI files does
not work if you
started the gvim program from the debian menu.

Thank you,
Sergio Llorente.

Bug#461106: gnome-panel starts consuming 75% or more of the CPU and becomes unresponsive

2008-01-16 Thread Sergio Llorente
Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.20.2-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

gnome-panel starts consuming 75% or more of the CPU and becomes
unresponsive after having worked for a random number of hours.

The problem started when the testing Debian distribution was upgraded one
week ago.

I do not know how to reproduce the problem. The program "gnome-panel" begin
to eat almost all CPU suddenly, after having worked for many hours. After
killing "gnome-panel", other process seem to work perfectly.

I have three panels on the Desktop, with many launchers and the following
applets on them:

GNOME_WindowListApple
GNOME_WindowMenuApplet
GNOME_WorkspaceSwitcherApplet
GNOME_ClockApplet
GNOME_MultiLoadApplet
GNOME_NotificationAreaApple
SensorsApplet
GNOME_GWeatherApplet
GNOME_StickyNotesApple
