I upgraded the server to version 10.13.1.3 but that was after owncloud-client failed. In any case what I did was to use rclone for syncing. It is slower, but does the job with the experimental bisync option it provides. No idea if I would ever go back to owncloud-client since over the years I have had a few problems that are not easily solved. Cheers, Sergio.

Bug#944672: goobook: Fails to query addresses
Hi, Got my problem fixed. Turns out that two of my google contacts were members of a strange group: "contactGroupId": "136c5dae0ca94ac9" As such, $ goobook reload (also query and dquery) didn't work and produce the error I reported previously. However, it turns out that "dump_contacts" worked well and by direct inspection of that file I found that two of my contacts belonged to the group "136c5dae0ca94ac9" instead of "myContacts" as the other contacts belong. I got the clue since as you can see from my previous report the last line of the output is: KeyError: 'contactGroups/136c5dae0ca94ac9' In summary. The bug is not that severe, but it continues to be a bug since goobook should not complain about any field that appears in contactGroupId (or should it?). In any case for me the fix was to delete those two contacts and add them again. Bug#919326: msmtp: account default not found: no configuration file available
Package: msmtp Version: 1.8.1-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Dear Maintainer, A few days ago, msmtp fails to work. It all seems to be related to the inability to read ~/.msmtprc file. In other words it seems that ~/.msmtprc needs to have mode 644. This is not at all desired since sensible (private) information can be included in that file. The package msmtp should run with no trouble when the user configuration file ~/.msmtprc has mode 600. I am sending you some useful output so that you can check the relevance of the situation (please note that I tried playing with stable, testing and sid versions of msmtp and I get the same output -this lead me to think whether the problem is with msmtp or with some other related package): > sergio@quetzalli:~$ echo "Hello World" | msmtp -d ser...@mendozza.org ignoring system configuration file /etc/msmtprc: No such file or directory ignoring user configuration file /home/sergio/.msmtprc: Permission denied falling back to default account msmtp: account default not found: no configuration file available As such, the bug leaves the package fully unusable. Hi Ilias, Unfortunately, no matter how hard I look for to spot the problem, I have not find the culprit package. I tried and tried, but couldn't. This is the reason I reported the bug to goobook. Bug#756241: systemd-sysv conflicts with wpasupplicant and ifup ifdown
Package: systemd-sysv Version: 208-6 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Since gnome and its dependent packages depends now on systemd-sysv there is no way to have a full gnome installation without systemd-sysv. The package systemd-sysv is heavily conflicting with wpasupplicant and possibly ifupdown since when trying to setup a WPA2 wireless network the following error message appears: root@host:~# ifup wlan0=mynetwork wpa_supplicant: /sbin/wpa_supplicant daemon failed to start run-parts: /etc/network/if-pre-up.d/wpasupplicant exited with return code 1 Failed to bring up mynetwork. I have tried installing stable versions of systemd-sysv and/or wpasupplicant and/or ifupdown without success. The only way to fix things is to install back sysvinit-core, which removes quite a few gnome packages and so gnome becomes unsuable. Bug#391516: Link to 64bit clean sources
Hi, I've tested the fix. It doesn't work. There are a number of things first to be added. The orig.tar and diff files you tell me to download are not in gzipped format, so I had to gzip them and made the corresponding changes to the dsc file. Anyway, after doing this the compilation went well and managed to get cfs_1.4.1-17.1_amd64.deb. Installation was also OK, restarted the daemon cfs. Things doesn't work: $ cfssh kk/ Key: Directory is /var/cfs/.31031.31351 $ ls ls: reading directory .: Input/output error $ touch hola $ ls ls: reading directory .: Input/output error $ echo * * $ mkdir a ; mkdir a/a $ cd a/a $ touch hola $ ls hola So.. as you can see. Same problem persists. Sergio. Bug#391516: cfs on amd64 mounts but doesn't work
Package: cfs Version: 1.4.1-17 Severity: normal Hi, This bug is amd64 specific. It works fine on 32-bit machines. It has been discussed on debian-amd64 mailing lists: (a) http://lists.debian.org/debian-amd64/2005/07/msg00300.html (b) http://lists.debian.org/debian-amd64/2006/09/msg00338.html Briefly the problem is as follows: $ cmkdir directory Key: Again: $ ls directory $ cfssh directory/ Key: Directory is /var/cfs/.13687.31869 $ ls ls: reading directory .: Input/output error $ echo Hello world test.txt $ cat test.txt Hello world $ echo * * So, as you can see it is possible to read the files, however ls or echo * doesn't list the directory contents. Even ls ./ and related commands will not work. By trying many things I discovered that it is possible to read the contents of the directory by performing the following trick: $ cmkdir directory Key: Again: $ ls directory $ cfssh directory/ Key: Directory is /var/cfs/.13687.31869 $ ls ls: reading directory .: Input/output error $ mkdirhier a/a $ cd a/a/ $ ls $ echo Hello world test.txt $ ls test.txt $ cat test.txt Hello world $ echo * test.txt This is indeed very strange. I can't tell where the error is but my guess is that somehow cfsd is not communicating properly with the nfs daemon. Please note that as far as I am concerned this is an AMD64 only problem. I run cfs on i386 and works perfect!
