Bug#704420: intel_idle: does not run on family 6 model 54 on Intel Atom N2600 CPU

2013-03-31 Thread Stephan Austermuehle
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.41-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

the Linux kernel reports that the intel_idle module doesn't support the Intel
Atom N2600:

intel_idle: does not run on family 6 model 54

# dmesg |grep -i atom
CPU0: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N2600 @ 1.60GHz stepping 01

This probably prevents putting the processing into a deeper C-state resulting
in higher power consumption.

Best regards

Stephan
