The following is the build procedure I have followed for enabling pango support in firefox. If there are more firefox 1.0.x releases, please consider enabling pango in them. The trunk has all the following patches but pango is not enabled by default (atleast as of DeerPark Alpha 1), so simply enabling pango should do for firefox 1.1. 1) I have applied the following pango pathes from the Fedora CVS: http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/devel/firefox/ mozilla-1.7.3-pango-render.patch (-p1) firefox-1.0-pango-selection.patch (-p1) firefox-1.0-pango-space-width.patch (-p1) firefox-1.0-pango-direction.patch (-p1) firefox-1.0-pango-rounding.patch (-p1) There is one more relevent (I guess) patch (I have not used this for building) firefox-1.0-pango-bidi-justify.patch Enabling pango introduces the new dependency, pango >= 1.5.0 2) Another patch I have applied is a crash fix for installer (which is irrelevent here) crashing. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280740 3) Used the following options while configuring (we need run autoconf2.13 on the source after patching): --enable-default-toolkit=gtk2 --enable-xft --enable-pango -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
