Bug#911624: /usr/lib/virtualbox/postinst-common.sh: Systemd v239-10 segfaults running postinst-common.sh of virtualbox 5.2.20

2018-10-22 Thread Sven Schumacher
Package: virtualbox-5.2
Version: 5.2.20-125813~Debian~stretch
Severity: important
File: /usr/lib/virtualbox/postinst-common.sh

Dear Maintainer,

After I updated the system to have systemd in version 239-10 and wanted
to install virtualbox in version 5.2.20 (as newest available version
for debian at the moment) systemd crashes with a segfault, while
postinst-common.sh of the virtualbox-package installation is run.

Afterwards only a reboot helps to get the service org.freedesktop.systemd1
running again.

Bug#698158: /usr/sbin/setup-storage: ntfsresize is called without blank after new size of partition

2013-01-14 Thread Sven Schumacher
Package: fai-setup-storage
Version: 4.0.5
Severity: normal
File: /usr/sbin/setup-storage

Hello Thomas,

I just have an disk-config entry, which should resize an existing
ntfs partition, using ntfsresize from ntfs-3g-Package.
In Commands.pm of /usr/share/fai/setup-storage at line 1094 there
is a blank missing after:
ntfsresize -s " . $part->{size}->{eff_size} .

Because of this missing blank the whole fai install process on the
client stopped with an fatal error.

Here my patch, to get it working again:

Bug#722159: spampd: tainted variable $pidfile (passed to Server.pm (->Daemonize.pm)

2013-11-05 Thread Sven Schumacher
Package: spampd
Followup-For: Bug #722159

Dear Maintainer,

after updating perl to v5.18 I didn't restart spampd directly. After some days
running without problems spampd stopped working suddenly and a restart of
spampd failed saying something of "unsecure dependency in open while running
with -T switch".

I didn't know why it suddenly fails, but I fixed it by adding

($pidfile)=($pidfile=~/^(.*)$/);

to /usr/sbin/spampd before the first use of $pidfile as a parameter (added it
in line 925)
