Bug#710129: [Pkg-bluetooth-maintainers] Bug#732453: bluez: New upstream release 5.12
Hi, On Wednesday 08 January 2014 12:20:11 Fabian Greffrath wrote: Am Mittwoch, den 08.01.2014, 15:14 +0900 schrieb Nobuhiro Iwamatsu: Because KDE (bluedevil) does not support Bluez5 yet. Arch has been distributed in the separate package to bluez5 and bluez4 the Bluez solve this problem, but this is not possible with Debian. I see. The corresponding bug report in Debian #710129 has not been answered since May 2013, but according to the Fedora Wiki [1] there is a GIT branch of bluedevil that supports Bluez5. Maybe that could be packaged in Debian or uploaded via NMU if nothing else happens? FYI http://www.afiestas.org/bluedevil-2-0-rc1-a-k-a-bluez5-ready/ -- Szymon K. Bug#496676: arrayprobe
Hello All, Since upstream seams to be no longer active on this one I went ahead and did some maintenance work on arrayprobe. I don't use arrayprobe and looked at it because it is RC for Squeeze so please review (it's not one-liner) and (if brave enough:) test it. Instead of just fix reported issue with tape I refactored some code to not used dynamic memory, I hope this fix memory issues reported already and minimize chance of similar bugs in the future. It also fixes some other bugs identified during reviewing/coding (overwriting memory, leaks etc) and buffer overflow bugs reported. As I mentioned before, I'm not able to test it myself so there might be (I'm pretty sure of that :) some bugs. I can spend some more time on it if testers show up and report issues :) Comments are welcome. -- Szymon K. Why would you want to include the nvidia module in your initramfs image? Some time ago I was experiencing issues with long driver (not with every version) initialization which caused KDM failed to start or (less frequently) KDM started but my monitor was turning off (I had to switch to console and back to turn it on again). Including nvidia module in initramfs solved all my issues at that time (module was loaded ~5 seconds earlier). Yet, on driver upgrade if I forgot to update initramfs manually, xserver didn't start because of nvidia module version mismatch. Bug#526169: N/A
This is not a bug in xorg intel driver itself but in kernel KMS code. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21246 for more details and link to linux git comming with patch. Installing 2.6.30-rc4 fix this issue. Maybe this bug(s) should be reassigned to debian linux kernel package? Patch is small and it shouldn't be a problem for kernel team to fix this issue in debian 2.6.29. -- pozdrawiam Szymon K.
