Bug#311312: few options in enlightenment settings causes scroll locks up with mouse wheel

2005-05-30 Thread THR4K

Package: enlightenment
Version: 1:0.16.7.2-1

Hello,

I discover a problem under enlightenment when few options are set with a
particular way : in some applications (like Mozilla-Firefox, Gedit, Gpdf
or Xpdf) but not to all (OpenOffice, Gimp, or Scribus aren't affected)
the scroll locks up when I roll the mouse wheel fast (for example when I
scroll up/down to consult rapidly a web page).

1) Just after erasing my ~/.enlightenment folder, I launch X and
Enlightenment without changing anything (default E config) : no problem.

2) Next, I go to the Focus Settings and just enable the [*] Clicking
in a window always raise it option : no real problem but the left
arrow pointer display flickers quickly with a cross pointer when I
scroll fast a page with the mouse wheel.

3) Finaly, I go to Pager Settings and disable the [] Continuously scan
screen to update pager option : the scroll problem occurs as described
up ; re-enabling this option or (better) disabling the [] Clicking in
a window always raise itoption in Focus Settings, solve it
instantly. Reversing this operation will reproduce again the scroll
problem, etc.

Bug#407478: iceweasel: Process (or thread) name remains 'firefox-bin'

2007-01-18 Thread THR4K
Package: iceweasel
Version: 2.0.0.1+dfsg-2
Severity: normal

Hello,

With the 'top' command I have noticed that Iceweasel still listed under
the process named 'firefox-bin'.

So renaming it as 'iceweasel-bin' would be nice and more DFSG-compliant.

Please note that's already done for Icedove, who have his processes
listed under 'icedove' and 'icedove-bin' (ok I admit there's also a
process named 'run-mozilla.sh' when Icedove is launched ;-)

Bug#414322: linux-source-2.6.18: kernel freeze on disk i/o (regression)

2007-03-10 Thread THR4K
Package: linux-source-2.6.18
Version: 2.6.18.dfsg.1-11
Severity: important

Hello,

I have recently dist-upgraded my workstation from Sarge to Etch. As usual,
this operation worked fine, but sadly I get some trouble with the 2.6.18
kernel included into Etch.

To begin, I have tried the linux-image-2.6.18-4-k7 but at the first boot
the kernel freeze completely (the MagicSysReq keys doesn't work). So I
build my own image from the current linux-source-2.6.18 to test if the
problem could be eventualy solved with more specific options related to
my hardware configuration.

After rebooting without problem on my own linux-image kernel, for a moment
all seemed to work fine... until the whole system freeze again during the
configuration process of some new packages I have planned to install.

Despite the log files contains nothing useful, investigating a bit (eg.
more reboots and freezes later :-D show that the problem always occurs
during disk i/o operations, specially when loading the system at boot or
installing/deinstalling packages (heavy disk usage = faster freeze).

Of course, I did not have any problem when I use my previous kernel as
fallback (an old 2.6.8 version build with the Debian Sarge sources).

Perhaps a disk driver (I use the AIC7XXX kernel module) bug ?

Bug#381206: kword: crashes when closing/opening documents

2006-08-02 Thread THR4K
Package: kword
Version: 1:1.4.2-7
Severity: important

Hello world,

On my system, this bug is reproducible everytime:
I launch KWord and choose any document (for example A4 template) and then i
close it simply with the Close button in the File menu. After doing that, when
i choose to re-open any document (A4 template again, for example), KWord
crashes immediatly with a signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

Additional info:
I have noticed that the bug doesn't occurs when i use only keyboard shortcuts
(Ctrl+W to close document) without having clicked on any menu items (File,
Edit, etc.), or if i use only the Empty template.

Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.5.4-2+b1

I can confirm the bug as explained above.

Some additional informations (tested) :
  - the crash occurs when renaming file or folder
  - the crash only occurs when icon or icon list views are used,
no problem when using tree, info or detailled view
  - on my system, the crash only occurs when the 'show hidden
files' menu option is disabled. I have no problem with other
display features/combinaisons (like file preview).

Bug#399880: gnomebaker: Can't create Audio CD projects

2006-11-22 Thread THR4K
Package: gnomebaker
Version: 0.6.0-1
Severity: important

Hi,

I just can't create Audio CD projects because the internal file viewer
simply doesn't show any audio file (I have tried with .ogg and .wav
files). Of course, this files exists on my hard-drive :-)

This broke the possibility to make its own audio CD compilation, so I
choose 'important' severity because this render partially Gnomebaker
unusuable.

Bug#361753: xscreensaver: password timeout affected by keypressing on the password dialog box

2006-04-09 Thread THR4K

Package: xscreensaver
Version: 4.24-1

Hi,

I have discovered that the password timeout on the password dialog box
(for unlocking
screen) is affected by keypressing in the password area. Each keypress
increase 1 sec
approximatively to the countdown (the effect is visible on the timeout
progress bar), so
it makes possible that the timeout never ends by pushing continuously on
one or more

keys.
