Bug#1059263: emptty: Automatic login fails with default PAM configuration
Package: emptty Version: 0.10.0+git20230608.f02bbdb-1+b4 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: tkp...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, As configured in the package, automatic login (AUTOLOGIN=true) fails with "Authentication failure". The following fixes the problem: 1. Using the PAM configuration recommended for Debian, available at https://github.com/tvrzna/emptty/blob/master/res/pam-debian 2. Adding the user to the nopasswdlogin group (as described in the README of emptty). Suggested fix: 1. replace the PAM file in the package with the one above, 2. have README.Debian mention that the user should create the nopasswdlogin group and then add the autologin user. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.5.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages emptty depends on: ii libc6 2.37-12 ii libpam0g 1.5.2-9.1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.7-1 emptty recommends no packages. emptty suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/pam.d/emptty changed: authsufficient pam_succeed_if.so user ingroup nopasswdlogin @includecommon-auth -auth optionalpam_gnome_keyring.so -auth optionalpam_kwallet5.so @includecommon-account @includecommon-session -sessionoptionalpam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start -sessionoptionalpam_kwallet5.so auto_start force_run @includecommon-password -- no debconf information

Bug#353453: gnome-panel: When using Mathematica-5.1 from remote server, wnck-applet causes heavy CPU load
Package: gnome-panel Version: 2.12.2-3 Severity: normal I am using Mathematica-5.1 from a remote machine (via ssh -Y). When I start the client program on the remote machine, it works nicely using my X server, but wnck-applet grabs almost 100% of the CPU.
