See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1068174#30. --Daniel Nextpnr already has a risc-v soc based test design. https://github.com/YosysHQ/nextpnr/tree/master/ice40/smoketest/attosoc It is pure Verilog (no SystemVerilog) and should work with the majority of opensource tools. If you are also looking for a dev board, it should be trivial to port te design by just changing the pin assignments to one of theses ICE40 boards: https://alchitry.com/boards/cu/ https://www.latticesemi.com/Products/DevelopmentBoardsAndKits/iCE40HX8KBreakoutBoard.aspx Which contains the necessary IOs/LED and the usb/spi interface to program the FPGA (which has to be purchased separately for the Olimex board) using icestorm. Bug#1069424: yosys: FTBFS on armhf: make[3]: *** [Makefile:32: 011/submod_dots.pdf] Error 1
Hi, This bug seems to be related to an old version of the upstream source. Is it still present on newer releases? Also, shouldn't this package be in the Debian/Electronics category? I am not very aware of the Debian packaging process, but I can help with testing if needed. Tarik
Bug#1013046: What the status?
Hi everybody, What the status of this bug? It is quite critical as it also impacts an other package (verilator). I see that there is a new upstream release of the systemc library (2.3.4 released on the 2022-12-01) available here: https://www.accellera.org/downloads/standards/systemc There is also a official dev repo here: https://github.com/accellera-official/systemc Maybe those can help with g++ version compatibility. Also, regarding the symbol list, it seems that it is just a matter of updating the symbol file as it is usually done when there is a change in g++ version. https://salsa.debian.org/electronics-team/systemc/-/commit/c9f1b85dc8715d41533ee51275f529dde4a9c9f3 It would be nice to have this package (and thus verilator) back in next-stable before the freeze. CC to the maintainers. Tarik
Bug#951113: ITP: webp-pixbuf-loader -- WebP Image format GdkPixbuf loader.
Hi, There is a new upstream version but the package is not yet an official Debian package. What is exactly the issue here? Bug#933177: network-manager-openvpn: unable to connect after upgrade to buster due to new OpenSSL minimum TLS version
Shouldn't version 1.8.12 added to Debian backports?
Bug#932389: gnome-sound-recorder crashes when trying to play back a recording
Hi there, I can confirm having the same bug here since upgrading to Buster. The bug seems to be identified and corrected upstream: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gjs/issues/223 I don't know if it is easy to apply the proposed patch to the Debian version. Tarik
Bug#884061: 4.9.65-3+deb9u1 breaks things on AMD/Intel hybrid systems
Hi, The last kernel security update (4.9.65-3+deb9u1) makes it impossible to log in a gnome session from gdm3. gdm3 starts correctly but when I try to start a gnome session, every thing hangs and I have to hard reboot the machine (which makes it hard to debug). The system is an HP Zbook 15u G2 with hybrid AMD/Intel graphics. --- lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 5500 (rev 09) 04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Opal XT [Radeon R7 M265] --- Also, with kernel 4.9.65-3, I have some strange flickering on an external display (display port). I had to move to a backport kernel (4.13.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.13.13-1~bpo9+1) to get a usable machine. Tarik

Bug#833698: Icedove 45.2.0-2+b1 (Debian Testing) SegFault
Hi Everybody, I updated Icedove to the last version available on Debian Testing and I have a segfault on startup. The only workaround I have found, is to restart in safemode (icedove --safe-mode) and disable the Iceowl extension. Hope this will help. T.G.
Bug#830971: The bug is still present in Debian 4.6.4-1 kernel
Hi everybody, A patch has been upstreamed and applied to the 4.7 branch: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?h=linux-4.7.y&id=1488a1e3828d60d74c9b802a05e24c0487babe4e I don't know what version of the kernel is planned for the next Debian stable release, but if the 4.6 version is chosen maybe consider backporting this patch. Regards, T.G.
