Bug#956860: ceph 14.x packages lost init script
Package: ceph-base Version: 14.2.7-1~bpo10+1 First of all thanks for the high activity in packaging recent versions of ceph, lately! ceph-base (or ceph) binary packages were supplying /etc/init.d/ceph, but beginning with 14.x versions neither of ceph binary packages seems to provide /etc/init.d/ceph any longer. Could you please consider to keep packaging a working init script file?
Bug#574606: Debian Bug 574606
Hi, > Do you still encounter this bug with latest versions? If yes, please > provide up-to-date data, and if not, this bug report might be closed, so > let us know :) As it's been a while, I haven't had access to such a system/display configuration recently, so I am not able to test against latest packages. The one I was experiencing this bug with is still running 800x600, but out of my (physical) reach, a.t.m. If you feel like I was the only one to experience such a behaviour, feel free to close that bus report. If I once get back to the system and the problem still exists I would report back and kindly ask to re-open it. Thanks and sorry for the delayed answer. Bug#574606: xserver-xorg-video-intel: screen distorted by intermittent flickering in 800x480 resolution mode

Take your time, and thanks for the follow-up. > > KiBi. Hi, so did the upgrade, today's sid, but what should I say... its still the same. Did some re-investigation. Running plain xfce at 800x480 gives nice image, no distortion. At once when I start an opengl application, flickering of the whole screen begins, not just the window containing the opengl application. The more opengl "activity" the more distortions. Glitches mostly stop when exiting opengl application. I'm out of ideas. Any way I can help debugging? Tobi -- GMX DSL Doppel-Flat ab 19,99 Euro/mtl.! Bug#574606: xserver-xorg-video-intel: screen distorted by intermittent flickering in 800x480 resolution mode
Hi Cyril, with an up-to-date squeeze its still the same, I'm afaraid. Gonna give sid a try but it will take me some time to do the upgrade. Bug#574606: xserver-xorg-video-intel: screen distorted by intermittent flickering in 800x480 resolution mode
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.9.1-2 Severity: normal I'm experiencing heavy flickering which distorts the otherwise correctly drawn screen when using a modeline for 800x...@60hz. The flickering seems not to be related to plain timing as it won't flicker when starting xserver using "xinit /usr/bin/xterm". When replacing xterm with something creating more screen updates like iceweasel flickering starts and gets even heavier when using an opengl application. In the opengl application I can see a relation between flickering and opengl buffer swap frequency, low opengl framerate->low flickering rate, high opengl framerate->high flickering rate, though the xserver mode stays unchanged at 800x...@60hz. The problem started to arise aroud the time when linux-image-2.6.32 appeared in squeeze but afaik around the same time there appeared newer versions of xorg and xorg-intel-driver. Before it was working with lenny/squeeze and the attached xorg.conf for about two years without any problems. Meanwhile tested against newver versions og libdrm/xserver/linux-image-2.6.33 from sid/experimental without success. The problem does not appear when running a default mode like 800x600 or 1024x768. But as I tested tons of modelines for 800x...@60hz (my screen needs 800x...@60hz, its picky) I got the feeling that this seems to be a general problem related to running 800x...@60hz on current xorg/xorg-video-intel, anyone please prove me wrong. It is not related to the monitor in use as it also happens with a default, up-to-date desktop screen (samsung 21" wide screen providing any timings in that range). The logfile attached was created when using this samsung screen. -- Package-specific info: /var/lib/x11/X.roster does not exist. /var/lib/x11/X.md5sum does not exist.
