Did you try drag and drop the images e.g. to libreoffice impress? Via drag and
drop I get the correct effects, but not via save. I reported this behavior

Bug#798918: kdepim: Cannot create subfolders of top level kmail folder

2015-09-14 Thread Tobias Winchen
Package: kdepim
Version: 4:4.14.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

after migrating an user to jessie it was no longer possible to create
subfolders to the local KMail Folder. This issue has already been reported as
Bug 347478 in the KDE Bug tracker
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347478), but it might be Debian specific
as it occurs in context of the migration process. A possible workaround is to
add the missing ACL Item Access Rights to the KMail Folder in the
akonadiconsole as I described in the upstream bug tracker.

Best regards,

Tobias

Bug#727114: jabref: Unusable after 'missing comma between two fields' error

2013-10-22 Thread Tobias Winchen
Package: jabref
Version: 2.10~beta2+ds-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

trying to 'save' a bibtex fille after manually adding a field in the BibTeX
source tab and forgetting the comma at the end of the line (see example below)
renders jabref unusable.
jabref spawns two error windows titled 'Problem with parsing entry' which are
not closable.

A defect bibtex file may look like this:
[...]
  Volume   = {32},
Note = {foo}
  Archiveprefix= {arXiv},
[...]

The following output is produced on the terminal:

java.io.IOException: Error in line 4 or above: Empty text token.

2013-06-12 Thread Tobias Winchen
Dear Christoph,

Clicking OK Button -- Main window
When entering a fomula (e.g. f(x)) the preview is shown correctly, but when
I press Evaluate-button an error Message occurs:

I can reproduce this bug by setting e.g.
chmod a-r $HOME/.klatexformula/library.klf.db, but not by simply starting
klatexformula. Did the message already occured the first time you started
klatexformula? Could you please try to delete the .klatexformula directory and
check if the error message pops up already on the first start?

epstopdf reported an error (exit status 2). Here is full stderr output:

I can reproduce this part of the bug. As temporary workaround you can disable
the 'Have epstopdf' option in the advanced settings.

Yes, openjdk-7-jre was missing, after installation jabref works. It seems that

To get debugging info the software needs to be compiled with debugging flags.
As far as I can get it simply calls epstopdf foo.eps --outfile=foo.pdf on some
temporarily generated file.

There was a bugfix for some epstopdf issue on ubuntu in release 3.2.5. This
fix might have broken klatexformula on debian stable. Can you install
klatexformula from source and see if the problem still exists?

Sorry for the question, but do you have epstopdf installed? It is part of the

Yes, I can use it from the command line.

Okay, this would have been to easy. I cannot reproduce the bug at all and have
no idea what could produce it if there is everything correct with your
settings.

- Are you sure that there is no additional character in the path to epsto pdf
(should be /usr/bin/epstopdf)?
- Please also try the button 'detect settings' which should find the correct
path.
- And as a last measure please try to remove the directory
$HOME/.klatexformula This also removes all your settings and the history, so
please backup the directory if you don't want to loose them!

Okay, I just realized that you are running stable - this might be the reason
for the glitch. As klatexformula is a new package not yet available in stable
I will tag the bug as 'moreinfo unreproducible' if none of the above measures
help as I think this need to be reproduced on a wheezy machine.

All the buttons on the right of the image (DRAG, COPY, SAVE

The image that you see is just a preview of the equation and should be grayed
out. If you press the evaluate button under the editor area the picture should
become clear and the buttons should become enabled after the formula is
completly rendered.

Neither does F2 open a larger preview window,
even though this is suggested by the tip window appearing at startup.

I cannot reproduce this on current testing. Please note that the window that
should pop up is not an additional window that you can see in e.g. the
taskbar, but a pop up note containing the equation. Unless you have a long
equation the additional preview window is abut the same size as the build in
preview window. There is also a button on the bottom-right, above the large
Quit button showing a magnifying glass. Pressing this should also pop up the
enlarged preview.

Did you just overlook the window or does nothing happens even if you press the
button?

Does running as “gvim -f” make any difference?

No.

Does it matter what's in that file or does an empty one cause the same
problem? Is the gtk2-engines-qtcurve package what you're referring to?

No, I am referring to
http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gtk-qt-engine.html

Writing that, I just learned that the package is no longer in debian
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=617263)

and the bug reported by me is probably a duplicate of

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=505158

Thus the bug can be probably be closed. Sorry that I didn't check this before
filing the report.

Best regards,

Tobias

Bug#647585: vim-gtk: gvim fails to start in KDE if ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde is present

2011-11-04 Thread Tobias Winchen
Package: vim-gtk
Version: 2:7.3.333-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

On Debian testing I noticed yesterday that gvim hangs on start using the KDE
desktop . Abort with CTRL-C sometimes open a regular vim in konsole.

Trying to start gvim with

gvim -u NONE -U NONE -N
gvim -u NORC -U NORC -N
gvim -u NORC -U NORC --cmd 'filetype plugin indent on' -N

has no effect.
gvim starts however for a new user with fresh KDE and when using other desktops
with the same user.

After removal of ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde gvim starts as usual. This configuration
file is created by the gtk-qt-engine.

Installing vim-gtk 2:7.3.346-1 also shows the same behavior.

Best regards,

Tobias Winchen
