If it is a local disk, inotify should be directly used. It's a local disk with a fat32 filesystem on it.
Bug#373814: nautilus: Disk usage of folder contents not properly updated
Package: nautilus Version: 2.14.1-4 Severity: normal When right-clicking on a folder and clicking on the 'Properties' menu item, 'Contents' does not display the correct disk usage if its not the first time the you view that information. One doesn't want to go for 'du' to find accurate results. I have limited patience for people who think they are experts and are not familiar with man pages. Me not trying to cause any conflict, but newbies often learn a lot by fiddling, and a small note on the installer on how sudo works won't hurt (it will actually help such a newbie before he gets a small headache and runs off to some "user-friendly" distro)... On a different computer, the behaviour I complain against doesn't appear. It actually works as intended. I'll check again on the offending system. After a more thorough check of what the problem really is, I realize that the bug title should have been something like "gedit should have a better way to recognize files than just using the filename". Here's my situation: On CLI, I use some program to put some text into a certain file and then open that file with gedit. I do this repeatedly while using the same filename since I don't need the previous data anymore. Since gedit thinks it's still the same file, it jumps to the same index that it was with the old file. Maybe this is a rare use-case, but I'd be so glad if you could fix it... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I fail to see where it is claimed to be lightweight on memory. It is lightweight compared to the heavy mozilla interface that everyone knows. Hi, Can you describe the bug that happens when you open a different file? Sorry, I might have misunderstood something. Do you simply have a problem with the default behavior, that the cursor is restored to the last position, or something else? On a different computer, the behaviour I complain against doesn't appear. It actually works as intended. Actually I often keep the window open for multiple saves; usually I do some global changes, save, some per-song changes, saving, and then rename. So this won't be changed upstream. There is no room for a "Done" button. The tag-editing window is not wide enough anyway, forcing me to widen it in order to read many tags and especially on the 'rename file' or 'tag by filename' where the filenames can be lengthy. So, if the lack of space is the main reason for objecting the "Done" button, please reconsider. There's no such problem with the '-' character. As the manpage says the --include option uses a regexp and thus + means one or more times the previous character. You have to quote the special regexp characters if you mean the actual chars. Bug#408989: additional info
Hi, To reproduce, search for 'tracker' in bugzilla.gnome.org and click on Product on the top row. Searching for gtk2 disn't expose the bug. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Could you check with "view-source" (^U) whether your browser is getting some data from the web site? I get this: Error Error FW-1 at Elopin: Access denied. Otherwise, the problem goes away temporarily when I disable the cookies, but then I need those when I log in into bugzilla.
Bug#390618: gedit: seems to consider only the initial permissions on a file

"Gedit, however forgets this initial-state operation when the user closes the application, at which it gives a warning that the document has not been closed, and is able to save that document. It's a mess." ^ Is the file saved successfully when you close gedit? With gedit 2.16 all I get is a "Save As" button. Bug#396148: thoggen is beta software
severity 396148 grave Raising severity because thoggen is simply unusable for Etch release (in addition to this bug, it has no option to disable video, and it's just too slow). Etch should only have functional software... thanks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#396148: why I changed severity
Hi, I raised severity because thoggen is simply unusable for Etch, and Etch should only have functional software. Similar case with Pitivi (#359803) which was luckily removed from Etch. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#396148: thoggen: only works with dvd source
They should be valid unless dvdbackup produces invalid video DVDs; I don't have access to the PC having the problem at the moment so I can't post the file list now. Anyway, Totem plays the files as DVD, complete with menus and all. I'll post the dependencies next time so that we know which libdvdread version has a problem. thanks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? The version > in sarge does not have this bug. I don't see this bug at all, highlighting or not. Can you tell me what "scrambled" means. Also can you tell me what you are running top in (eg xterm). Scrambled - the output shows text in random places (instead of the usual ordered way) and therefore rather unreadable. I will send a screenshot on request. The problem appears in gnome-terminal, tty and xterm. note: this bug also appears in the LFS version of procps, so it's probably upstream.
