Bug#590721: [pkg-dhcp-devel] Bug#590721: isc-dhcp-client: networking broken
I've recognised it after the first reboot of the system after the upgrade. For me I've fixed the problem by setting a static address of the DNS server in dnsmasq.conf. Now I've checked if the problem still occurs with a dynamic nameserver and it does. ii dnsmasq2.55-1 A small caching DNS proxy and DHCP/TFTP serv ii isc-dhcp-clien 4.1.1-P1-9 ISC DHCP client un isc-dhcp-clien keine(keine Beschreibung vorhanden) ii isc-dhcp-commo 4.1.1-P1-9 common files used by all the isc-dhcp* packa Am Sonntag, den 29.08.2010, 15:34 +1000 schrieb Andrew Pollock: tags 590721 + moreinfo thanks On Wed, Jul 28, 2010 at 10:12:54PM +0200, Ulrich Schenck wrote: Package: isc-dhcp-client Version: 4.1.1-P1-9 Severity: important Since the transition of dhcp the name services are broken: Jul 28 22:04:31 castle dnsmasq[3850]: gestartet, Version 2.55, Cachegröße 150 Jul 28 22:04:31 castle dnsmasq[3850]: Übersetzungsoptionen: IPv6 GNU-getopt DBus I18N DHCP TFTP Jul 28 22:04:31 castle dnsmasq[3850]: keine Server in /var/run/dnsmasq/resolv.conf gefunden, werde es später neu versuchen Jul 28 22:04:31 castle dnsmasq[3850]: /etc/hosts gelesen - 8 Adressen Jul 28 22:04:33 castle fetchmail[3659]: awakened by User defined signal 1 Jul 28 22:04:33 castle fetchmail[3659]: couldn't find canonical DNS name of post.strato.de (post.strato.de): Name or service not known Jul 28 22:04:33 castle fetchmail[3659]: Query status=11 (DNS) Jul 28 22:04:33 castle fetchmail[3659]: getaddrinfo(post.strato.de,pop3) error: Name or service not known Was this immediately after upgrading, or some time afterwards? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#272960: should ignore upgradable packages that are on hold
Package: apt-watch-gnome Version: 0.3.2-14 Severity: normal Hello, after 5 years I would like to set a reminder to this wish. The actual reason is that a package (gthumb) is missing in the actual version a feature which was working in older versions. Therefore the package is set to hold. But on each logon I get remembered that I can upgrade this package. It's quite annoying. So I would be very lucky if this wish could be fulfilled! I can see now from your screenshot that you did not test carefully enough. You did not open the report to test the umlauts. Please test as I already described in a previous post: Ok, finally now I see the problem. Sorry for the confusion. The reports are actually generated by a non-gnucash component, gtkhtml. Debian gnucash is currently using an old gtkhtml, and we are upgrading to the last gnome-1 version of gtkhtml, but it will take time for it to get installed into Debian. Once it is, this bug may be fixed. If it is not fixed by that, then I will reassign it to gtkhtml, wherein it lies, but the chances of it actually being fixed are very slim. This is all the very old gnome-1 libraries, and nobody is really maintaining the old gtkhtml libraries. Thomas Thank you very much for your work! Bug#301261: gnucash: GnuCash has many problems for German users
Am Sonntag, den 27.03.2005, 12:09 -0800 schrieb Thomas Bushnell BSG: Ronny Standtke [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Really? I hardly believe it, because this bug is present with all versions of gnucash and all linux distributions I tested. Please send a screenshot. I attach my one with the problems marked. After receiving Thomas Viehmann's mail, I checked myself with LANG=de_DE, and I get umlauts just fine. As I said, I suspect your gnucash is using a font that doesn't have them, or some other problem is going on with your system. Please reopen the bug and close it only when I tell you that it works for me or when the problem is clearly identified and not on the gnucash side. I am certain there is no bug in gnucash. Reopening the bug report does nothing; it will simply get tagged unreproducable and cannot be forwarded upstream since it doesn't occur in the Debian package or when I run gnucash build from unmodified source. Thomas It *is* happening as he describes since every gnucash version I know, and I'm using it since it was called xacc. And I'm sure, we're not the only ones that have the problem. So we should try to figure out, what's missing! Ulrich -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
