Bug#767903: mariadb-server-10.0: missing versioned dependency on libpcre3 >=1:8.35

2014-11-03 Thread Vincent Riquer
Package: mariadb-server-10.0
Version: 10.0.14-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   Installing mariadb-server from Jessie on Wheezy fails:
/usr/sbin/mysqld: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/mysqld: undefined symbol:
pcre_stack_guard

Upgrading libpcre3 from 1:8.30-5 to 1:8.35-3.1 solves the issue.

Bug#712875: qbittorrent: Infinite loop with magnet links

2013-06-24 Thread Vincent Riquer
Package: qbittorrent
Version: 2.9.8-1
Followup-For: Bug #712875

Dear Maintainer,

In the original bug report, I got it wrong between what caused the bug and what
resulted from it.
The bug manifests with magnet links, where the torrent contains subidrectories
and at least one file at its root. This only happens with magnet links, the same
torrent loaded through a .torrent file works fine.

Bug#712875: qbittorrent: infinite loop when torrent and a subdirectory have the same name

2013-06-20 Thread Vincent Riquer
Package: qbittorrent
Version: 2.9.8-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

With qbittorrent configured to create files immediately and to download each
torrent in a directory named after the torrent's name:

1. Open a torrent containing a directory which name conflicts with the torrent's
   name.
2. qBittorrent generates a huge amount of IO creating a directory tree
   ///... until filesystem's limit
   is reached.
3. Files at the root of the torrent will be stored in the parent directory,
   possibly causing conflicts and corrupting other torrents which triggered the
   same bug. The torrent directories will contain the zero-filled files. Files
   in the subdirectory trigerring the bug will be stored in the torrent root
   directory.

Bug#668890: dirmngr: Init scripts read /etc/profile

2012-04-15 Thread Vincent Riquer
Package: dirmngr
Version: 1.1.0-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

init script uses "su -", thus spawning a login shell and loading /etc/profile
and /etc/profile.d/*.sh.

This can have unwanted side effects, and even render the package unusable if
any of those use non-POSIX syntax.

Here
http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2007/09/30/debian/pool/main/i/icecast2/
I can find the package for i386, amd64 and alpha, but not for arm.

Yes, I'll keep the -5 version until then.

I looked in the pool for available versions.
Looks like the last version, 2.3.1-6, does not exist for ARM
architectures. The other latest version I found, 2.3.1-5 works fine.

Bug#475889: icecast2: Binding on random port

2008-04-13 Thread Vincent Riquer
Package: icecast2
Version: 2.3.1-6.1
Severity: important

Since last update, Icecast does not work correctly with IPv6 nor IPv4.

It runs successfully (no messages on standard output, nor in the logs, even in
loglevel 4 (debug), but it is not possible to connect to it (Connection
refused).

When run with strace, one can see that instead of binding to the port specified
in the listen-socket directive, it binds to a random port (0) :

bind(4, {sa_family=AF_INET6, sin6_port=htons(0), inet_pton(AF_INET6, "::",
&sin6_addr), sin6_flowinfo=0, sin6_scope_id=0}, 28) = 0

In /etc/icecast2/icecast.xml, I have the following :

8000
::

I also tried with

8000
2a01:5d8:52f4:3ae9:21a:70ff:fea3:44ab

which didn't help.

Bug#457336: check_http: interprets parts of IPv6 as port number

2007-12-21 Thread Vincent Riquer
Package: nagios-plugins-basic
Version: 1.4.8-2.2
Severity: important

check_http doesn't handle IPv6 addresses correctly:

$ /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -p 80 -H
2A01:5D8:52F4:3AE9:214:BFFF:FE65:A5E9
Connection refused
Unable to open TCP socket

strace shows that if there is a number after the first colon in the IP, it is
used as port number, even when invoked with -p 80:

$ strace /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -p 80 -H
2A01:5D8:52F4:3AE9:214:BFFF:FE65:A5E9
[...]
connect(3, {sa_family=AF_INET6, sin6_port=htons(5), inet_pton(AF_INET6,
"2a01:5d8:52f4:3ae9:214:bfff:fe65:a5e9", &sin6_addr), sin6_flowinfo=0,
sin6_scope_id=0}, 28) = -1 ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused)
[...]

$ strace /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -p 80 -H 2001:41d0:1:5db3::1
[...]
connect(3, {sa_family=AF_INET6, sin6_port=htons(41), inet_pton(AF_INET6,
"2001:41d0:1:5db3::1", &sin6_addr), sin6_flowinfo=0, sin6_scope_id=0}, 28) = -1
ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused)
[...]

Everything works fine when using hostnames, however, it makes checks dependant
on DNS availability, which mays lead to false positives.
