Bug#495960: [php5] PHP gets stuck after executing code
Package: php5 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hi, On our server, PHP gets stuck after executing the source file, both CLI and run from Apache. The code is run correctly, but after it PHP (and the Apache process with it) can not exit. It even happens with an empty source, like "echo | php". Using strace I tracked down the problem to a futex() call, but I don't know how could I fix it. Please see the result of the following command attached: echo | strace php 2>php-strace.log It's a 64-bit system, if that matters. (I'm afraid it does...) Any advice? Bug#342664: gparted: using mkdosfs creates unbootable filesystems
Package: gparted Version: 0.0.8-1 Severity: important Hi, After setting up my partitions with gparted, I tried to install WinXP. WinXP failed to boot with the error message "NTLDR is missing". After numerous retries with slight changes and no success, I have found the answer in the README file of the package ms-sys: There have been reports about unbootable FAT32 partitions created with "mformat -F c:". One workaround is to use gnu parted to create the partition instead. I recreated the FAT partition with parted and finally managed to install WinXP. After this I have discovered that the BUGS section of man mkdosfs mentions: mkdosfs can not create bootable filesystems. This isn't as easy as you might think at first glance for various reasons and has been discussed a lot already. mkdosfs simply will not support it ;) I think gparted should use parted's method to create FAT filesystems instead of using mkdosfs. Bug#301034: matchbox: icon captions are not shown on desktop nor in menu
Hi, I decided to inspect this problem in the code, but to my surprise, everything works well if I compile the source myself. I didn't use any special options. I can even build the packages from the exact same package source and they will be OK. I did this: # apt-get build-dep matchbox-desktop $ apt-get source matchbox-desktop $ cd matchbox-desktop-0.9.1 $ debuild # dpkg -i matchbox-desktop_0.9.1-1_i386.deb And the captions are not missing any more on the desktop. The same with matchbox-panel fixes the menus. So the error is not in the library but in the applications, and is not in the source but in the binaries. Maybe the problem would go away if you were releasing a new version without modifying anything. Bye, Zoltan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
