Subject: ircii: first-level "Help?" prompt overstays
Package: ircii
Version: 20051015-1
Severity: important

*** Please type your report below this line ***
Do "/help". Then press Enter to exit. "Help?" prompt is still there, I
expected it to levae out. The help function is no more, that is you can
send commands and working as well, but with "Help?" prompt still.

Do "/help set". "set Help?" prompt comes in. Press Enter, "Help?" prompt
appears. Press Enter, "Help?" prompt still.

Set to "important" becouse confuses and annoys the program usage.

Bug#332590: centericq: MSN protocol HTTP method support

2005-10-07 Thread alessandro foresi
Package: centericq
Version: 4.21.0-2
Severity: important

*** Please type your report below this line ***
Behind a firewall that don't allow other ports that 80, it is possible
to use yahoo and icq protocol simply changing the servers port to 80.
This doesn't work for MSN.
I tried with gaim, at it give me an option called 'Use HTTP method', and
it works behind this firewall.
It would be nice to have this feature also in centericq.

Bug#328245: laptop-net: N_RETRIES in src/arp_discovery.c too low

2005-09-14 Thread alessandro foresi
Package: laptop-net
Version: 2.26-1
Severity: normal

For the networks i'm connecting to, this parameter's value (8) is too
low. This is nearly the same as #168507.
There is the need to recompile arp_discovery, so maybe a run-time
version of this parameter could be useful.
debconf information reports i'm using module-name tg3, but i also tried
without module loading/unloading.
