Bug#324007: Same thing

2005-09-30 Thread Bert Vermeulen
This happens for me as well, running version 1.2.3-4 of
evolution-data-server. I also get a crash when trying to enter a new
contact in LDAP via evolution.

Bug#327846: fixed in svn but hard to backport to 2.9.18

2005-09-25 Thread bert hubert
Laurent, Matthijs,

The problem you report is no longer in 2.9.19 as it has a different
bindbackend.

However, this does not help debian as 2.9.19 is rather a break with 2.9.18,
replacing the entire bindbackend with a new implementation, possibly with
new bugs.

Given the amount of time I have available I'm unsure if I'll be able to
debug 2.9.18 further. Let me know of 2.9.19 would be of use to you.

Bug#326689: glabels: dies upon open or new

2005-09-04 Thread Bert
Package: glabels
Version: 2.0.2-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

program dies when filename given on command line, or filename give to Open
dialog, or New selected. Some error messages about no paper file found,
no template files found, and after New selected from menu,
Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed,
and after Open given an old .glabels file to open or filename given on
command line, WARNING **: Unknown page size id US-Letter, trying as name

This is a very useful and easy to use program for me, but lately, I have had
troubles like the above, and before that, after a text selection the text
entry window would immediately collapse allowing no text to be entered.

Bug#310280: debconf forget one entry in /etc/modutils/irda-utils

2005-05-22 Thread Bert Lange
Package: irda-utils
Version: 0.9.16-9
Severity: wishlist

Hello maintainer!

I use an MA-600 dongle.
My debconf did forget to add the following line to
/etc/modutils/irda-utils:

alias irda-dongle-11 ma600

After adding this line by hand the automatic load of module works fine.

Maybe its not an big afford to add this line in source.

regards
Bert

Bug#168954: cupsys: Duplex not working

2005-04-12 Thread Bert Jan de Hoop
LS.
I had also the problem that I couldn't print duplex and 2-up on
HP LaserJet (4000 and 4050) printers.
I am using sid with kde and cupsys as printing system.
I fiddled with all the option but nothing worked.
(Even though I could print duplex/2-up from windows machines.)
Eventually I checked the printer setting (on the physical device),
and I found that the Duplex setting was 'Off' on the printer (in the
paper menu). Setting Duplex=On on the printer solved all problems.

Greetings

Bug#131648: gpm: little workaraound

2005-02-09 Thread Bert Lange
Package: gpm
Version: 1.19.6-19
Followup-For: Bug #131648

After resume my laptop from standby, gpm is dead (in former versions
there are no problems).

I get also the following syslog-message when try to restart it:
(/etc/init.d/gpm restart)

...
oops() invoked from gpm.c(1019)
...

The second try works.

Here is a little workaround.
I've added the following line in /etc/crontab:

*  ** * *   root/sbin/start-stop-daemon -S -x /usr/sbin/gpm \
--startas /etc/init.d/gpm start

HTH for a while.
