Bug#649449: firmware-iwlwifi: "Card state received: HW:Kill SW:On" and "Not sending command - RF KILL"

2015-06-07 Thread dayer
Sorry for the big delay. I don't know why the email never arrived to my inbox.

The problem has continued. For example with kernel 3.16.7-ckt9-3.

dmesg after the connection has been broken:

And according to rfkill:

# rfkill list all
0: Toshiba Bluetooth: Bluetooth

Hard blocked: yes
1: phy2: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: yes

If I want to use another wireless interface (external) I've to disable
the iwl3945 module or networkmanager thinks that the Wi-Fi switch is
off.
It's like I switch off the physical switch. It could be a physical
problem derivative of the age of the laptop.

Bug#787348: linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64: Intel NM10/ICH7 it's not detected after 3.13.10-1

2015-05-31 Thread dayer
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.16.7-ckt9-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I've tried several versions after 3.13.10-1 linux-image version without
success.
For example 3.14-1~exp1, 3.14.12-1, 3.14.15-2, 3.16.3-2, 3.16.5-1,
3.16.7-ckt9-3 (now in testing) and some in experimental like 4.0.2-1. But the
problem persists.

I put information with 3.16.0-4:

$ cat /proc/asound/cards
--- no soundcards ---

This is the result of run alsa-info.sh:

Hi,

I'm a similar problem with another HDA Intel.

These are the errors in my case:

If I look for the module I get:

And finally I haven't any card:

$ cat /proc/asound/cards
--- no soundcards ---

I've tried with newer kernels but the problem continues:

Bug#671851: lxpanel: I can't stop blink/flash/highlight in some windows sometines

2012-05-07 Thread dayer
Package: lxpanel
Version: 0.5.6-1
Severity: minor

Hi,

Sometimes I can't stop the blink in some windows. For example in Seamonkey or
Empathy. It starts to blink with notificaciones. However, sometines I can't
stop this blink when I click over the tab in the windows list. It could be very
annoying and finally I've to close the window (or program) and reopen it.

I'm using stable, but in another machine with testing I've got the same
problem.

I think it could be related to this bug[1].

Thanks.

Bug#649449: firmware-iwlwifi: "Card state received: HW:Kill SW:On" and "Not sending command - RF KILL"

2011-11-20 Thread dayer
Package: firmware-iwlwifi
Version: 0.34
Severity: important

Hi,

I'm using a Toshiba laptop model U200-191 with a wireless card "Intel
Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02)"
(according to lspci). My laptop has several disconnections, it depends on the
network and this situation happens randomly. A day the connection goes very
well, without cuts, but next day, with the same network, position and power
signal, there're several disconnections. Now, for example, according on
iwconfig the network has Link Quality=54/70 and Signal level=-56 dBm, and it
has been several cuts.

I paste the dmesg ouput using Network Manager and with Network Manager stopped
and using only a shell to configure the wireless lan. I've left out the BSSID.

With Network Manager (two cuts):

Yes, I put "irqpoll" at grub's boot but I can't understand why irqpoll doesn't
work.
Yesterday and today I'm trying with "options radeon modeset=0"
in /etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf, and although the performance is odd
according to the program (Chromium goes smoother than Iceweasel), the
direct rendering is on and there is only a problem with an IRQ:

dmesg:

according to /proc/interrups IRQ #16 is also from radeon.

I think the problem is my graphic card ATI Gigabyte HD4650 AGP 1GB. I'm
using it one or two years without problem until April 2011, when IRQs
problems started. In Windows XP there's no problem. And if I try
connecting an old ATI 9600 AGP 256MB in Linux there's no problem with
IRQs.

I'am testing it now with "irqpoll" and without "radeon agpmode=-1", and
there's no problem. Irqpoll looks the solution in my case.

It's the same.

Yes, it helps! The performance doesn't fall already, although...

With it in /var/log/Xorg.0.log appears a new warning in addition to previous:

(WW) RADEON(0): Direct rendering disabled

And I can't run empathy due to:

failed to create drawable
Unable to select the newly created GLX context
Run 'empathy --help' to see a full list of available command line options.
(empathy:17688): empathy-WARNING **: Error in empathy init: Unable to select

But the solution is better than the previous situation.

Bug#597860: texmaker: Accents in Spanish with UTF-8

2010-09-23 Thread dayer
Package: texmaker
Version: 1.9.9-2
Severity: minor

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi,

I'm spanish and I'm using Texmaker in Debian testing version, now
1.9.9-2, for write documents in Spanish language with UTF-8 encoding. I've
Texmaker editor configuration in UTF-8 for font encoding, but when I'm writting
tex files some times the accents appear as " 'a " and not as " á ". When this
happens I go to editor configuration and withouth change none option I save the
settings and return to the file, and then I can continue writting with accents
correctly, with "á" and not with " 'a ". Good. However a few lines after
there's a moment again that I write an accent and it appears " 'a " again.

I've tried with 1.9.9-2 and 2.0-1 (from unstable) versions, and the
problem is the same. My preamble definitions is:

\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[spanish]{babel}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}

and also occurs if I use "\usepackage[utf8x]{inputenc}" for encoding.
Due to I think this is a Texmaker problem and not from LaTeX.

"$cat /etc/default/locale" returns "LANG=es_ES.UTF-8". For this I've
tried in "Editor → Editor font encoding" with "System", but the problem
continues.

I have found that this could be problem with gnome system language
configuration and uncheck "enable support to enter complex characters" at
System → Administration → Language Support in Ubuntu, but in Debian this
application doesn't exist.

Could you help me?

Regards.

Hi,

Thank you very much José María! I have checked with the package as
suggested by José María, libqca2-plugin-ossl, and now OAuth works very
well.

Hi. I have tried your solution about changes in
~/.qwit2/messages, and it goes very well.

I have deleted all qwit configuration files, open qwit (Debian
package version), configure and it crashs. Then I have done your changes
in "messages" files, open qwit again and it runs ok.

Now I can return to OAuth problem with HMAC(SHA1).

Thank you!

Bug#592374: qwit: crash with OAuth

2010-08-09 Thread dayer
Curiosity: I have purged qwit and his dependencies libqca2 and
libqoauth1.
Then I have copied libqca.so.2 and libqoauth.so.1 from
qwit-1.1-pre-x86_64 to /usr/lib. But it's the same.
$ ./qwit
Fatal: HMAC(SHA1) is not supported!

I have tried
# aptitude install libqtcore4 -t unstable
but...

Ok. I have done:
# aptitude purge libqca2 libqoauth1 qwit
# aptitude install qwit -t unstable
(because libqoauth1 1.0.1-1 is from unstable and I use testing with
ftp.es.debian.org repositories)
# dpkg -l | grep libqoauth1
ii libqoauth1
1.0.1-1 Qt-based client implementation of the OAuth
$ locate qwit
(and delete ~/.qwit2 and ~/.config/arti/qwit2.conf
$ qwit
(and configure for Twitter account WITHOUT OAuth)
Crash with output:
Fatal: ASSERT failure in QVector::operator[]: "index out of range",
file /usr/include/qt4/QtCore/qvector.h, line 346

Then I download the last qwit version from author web
(qwit-1.1-pre-x86_64).
Delete configuration file.
$ ~/qwit-1.1-pre-x86_64/qwit
Configure WITHOUT OAuth and all goes very well.

I think this is problem with config file that debian version creates.

Now I proceed to testing OAuth.
$ ~/qwit-1.1-pre-x86_64/qwit
I configure Twitter account WITH OAuth and I obtain the:
Fatal: HMAC(SHA1) is not supported!

And now if I want to can use qwit I have to delete configuration file
and open qwit (1.1 version) but use normal authentication.

Could be someone for QT4 testing version? Do you use testing or
unstable?

Thanks for all.

Yes. It return:

I have tried to purge qwit and his dependences but now this is worse
due to although I use plain-text authorization and any notification
system qwit crash with:

Fatal: ASSERT failure in QVector::operator[]: "index out of range",
file /usr/include/qt4/QtCore/qvector.h, line 346

Very thank you roma1390!!!

I have tried your solution and Iceweasel doesn't fail :)

And I have found another possible solution, from Maks Verver, in this
thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=588020

I attach file with instructions into the comments. This solution doesn't
need none script for load.

Bug#535548: flashplugin-nonfree: browser crash unexpectedly when load some pages in amd64

2009-07-09 Thread dayer
I have tried in Ubuntu 9.04 for amd64 with the install through Adobe
web and I obtain the same error with those pages:

[1]+ Instrucción ilegal (core dumped) firefox

If I try with 32 bits version, with nspluginwrapper emulation, them
sometimes the flash animations disappear for gray boxes and I obatin
with "dmesg" this:

npviewer.bin[9135]: segfault at f557f030 ip f78ae9e0 sp
ffc79e2c error 4 in libpthread-2.9.so[f78a7000+15000]

Although with this method I can also open the pages that fail with
native method for amd64.

I am beginning to think that this is a problem with some hardware, but
not with graphic card because I chaged it recently.
