Bug#314736: gnome-applets: 2.18.0-3 continues to be unusable
Package: gnome-applets Version: 2.18.0-3 Followup-For: Bug #314736 The symptoms are a little bit different. Whenever I change the state of AC power (on or off), then I see a sensible battery status (66% charged or whatever). A few seconds later, however, it reverts back to "No battery present." and always shows "System is running on AC power" even when the AC power is disconnected. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.20.7-b1 (PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_IN, LC_CTYPE=en_IN (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnome-applets depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.13Debian configuration management sy ii gconf2 2.16.1-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii gnome-applets-data 2.18.0-1 Various applets for GNOME 2 panel ii gnome-icon-theme 2.18.0-1 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gnome-panel2.18.1-1+b1 launcher and docking facility for ii gstreamer0.10-alsa 0.10.12-2 GStreamer plugin for ALSA ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-good 0.10.5-5 GStreamer plugins from the "good" ii libapm13.2.2-8.1 Library for interacting with APM d ii libatk1.0-01.18.0-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonoboui2-0 2.18.0-5 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.5-1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.4.4-1 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcpufreq0002-2 shared library to deal with the cp ii libdbus-1-31.0.2-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.73-2simple interprocess messaging syst ii libfontconfig1 2.4.2-1.2 generic font configuration library ii libgconf2-42.16.1-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-01:2.6.0-4 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.11-3 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-desktop-2 2.14.3-2 Utility library for loading .deskt ii libgnome2-02.18.0-4 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomekbd1 2.18.1-2 GNOME library to manage keyboard c ii libgnomekbdui1 2.18.1-2 User interface library for libgnom ii libgnomeui-0 2.18.1-2 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 1:2.18.1-1GNOME Virtual File System (runtime ii libgstreamer-plugins-base0 0.10.12-2 GStreamer libraries from the "base ii libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.12-4 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libgtk2.0-02.10.11-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtop2-7 2.14.4-3 gtop system monitoring library ii libgucharmap6 1:1.10.0-2Unicode browser widget library (sh ii libhal10.5.8.1-9 Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libnotify1 [libnotify1-gtk 0.4.4-3 sends desktop notifications to a n ii liborbit2 1:2.14.3-0.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpanel-applet2-0 2.18.1-1+b1 library for GNOME 2 panel applets ii libpango1.0-0 1.16.2-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libwnck18 2.18.0-2 Window Navigator Construction Kit ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor11.1.7-4 X cursor management library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxfixes3 1:4.0.1-5 X11 miscellaneous 'fixes' extensio ii libxi6 1:1.0.1-4 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 1:1.0.1-4.1 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxklavier11 3.2-2 X Keyboard Extension high-level AP ii libxml22.6.28.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii libxrandr2 2:1.2.1-1 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender11:0.9.1-3 X Rendering Extension client libra ii python 2.4.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o Versions of packages gnome-applets recommends: pn deskbar-applet (no description available) ii gnome-media 2.18.0-2 GNOME media utilities ii gnome-netstatus-app 2.12.1-1 Network status applet for GNOME 2 ii gnome-system-monito 2.16.1-1 Process viewer and system resource ii imagemagick 7:6.2.4.5.dfsg1-0.14 Image manipulation programs ii libgnomevfs2-extra 1:2.18.1-1 GNOME Virtual File System (extra m pn tomboy (no description available) -- debconf information: gnome-applets/cpufreq_S

Bug#337208: xsane: batch scan confusing or not working
Package: xsane Version: 0.97-4 Severity: normal I am using an HP LaserJet 3020 with hplip's hpaio driver. This scanner has an ADF. I can scan multiple pages with: scanimage -b --batch-scan=yes However, I can't figure out how to do the same/similar thing with xsane. I tried the batch scan window but the 3020 reports "out of memory". When I press the usual single page button (with ADF selected), it feeds through the ADF but then the ADF jams on the second page. Any additional diagnostics I can provide? -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.13.4-b4 Locale: LANG=en_IN, LC_CTYPE=en_IN (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages xsane depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-2The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc62.3.5-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgimp2.0 2.2.8-9 Libraries necessary to Run the GIM ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.0-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.9-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libieee1284-30.2.10-1cross-platform library for paralle ii libjpeg626b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpango1.0-01.8.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsane 1.0.15-10 API library for scanners ii libtiff4 3.7.3-1 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.10a-9.sarge.1 userspace USB programming library ii xsane-common 0.97-4 GTK+-based X11 frontend for SANE ( ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4.sarge.2 compression library - runtime Versions of packages xsane recommends: ii epiphany-browser [www-browser 1.6.4-1Intuitive GNOME web browser ii mozilla-browser [www-browser] 2:1.7.10-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.1-4WWW browsable pager with excellent -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
