Bug#1003383: systemd-cryptenroll: TPM2 not supported on this build.

2022-01-09 Thread mds

Hello,

I wanted to try this
"https://0pointer.net/blog/unlocking-luks2-volumes-with-tpm2-fido2-pkcs11-security-hardware-on-systemd-248.html";
to automatically unlock a drive in my PC, but unfortunately the support for TPM2 and
FIDO2 tokens seems to be not built in systemd in debian?

systemd-cryptenroll --tpm2-device=list
TPM2 not supported on this build.
systemd-cryptenroll --fido2-device=list
FIDO2 tokens not supported on this build.

Regards,
Robert

You can fix this issue by removing "/etc/network/interfaces":
sudo rm /etc/network/interfaces

To avoid problems with DNS, remove also "/etc/resolv.conf":
sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf

Bug#952710: workaround

2020-05-05 Thread mds
As workaround it is possible to manually install the firmware to get a navi GPU
(Radeon RX 5300, 5500, 5600, 5700) to work by doing this:

sudo apt install git
git clone
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git
cd linux-firmware/
sudo cp -va amdgpu/ /lib/firmware/
sudo update-initramfs -u
reboot

Bug#894857: Info received (Bug#894857: closed by Matthias Klumpp (Bug#894857: fixed in plasma-discover 5.12.4-2))

2018-04-07 Thread mds
Hello Matthias,

if I install plasma-discover 5.12.4-2 with qml-module-qtquick-dialogs on a
installation where I have only set "de_AT.UTF-8" as locale, discover does not
work.

In this situation discover starts with the German GUI, but there is only a
popup shown which says "Too few items to process", and no Applications are
displayed.

If I then execute a "sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales", add "en_US.UTF-8" (without
changing the "Default locale for the system environment:") and restart the
system, discover starts to work.

Here is the output from the terminal from the the error situation:

Turns out I have not. I only looked at
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/plasma-discover and not if it is actually in the
repo, sorry :-D

Hello Matthias,

I have installed Discover with 'sudo apt install plasma-discover -t unstable'
today, but I think we still missing the following dependencies:

qml-module-org-kde-kcoreaddons
(without only a empty gui is shown)

qml-module-qtquick-dialogs
(without the the side panel with the application descriptions and screenshots
is not shown, which appears if you click on a app from the list)

Bug#451788: openoffice.org: openoffice locks graphic video ???

2007-11-18 Thread mds
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.4.dfsg.2-7etch2
Severity: normal

I have now experienced this three (3) times; so, it is chronic :<
However, it is intermittent.

Sometimes, when opening and/or manipulating an XLS created on winders;
the desktop freezes. The mouse pointer moves; but, no alt-tab; no
menus; no ctrl-f; nothing.

When I ssh into this box, the CLI works fine. I restart gdm; and I kill
gdm; but, the frozen desktop video remains on the screen.

So far, when this happens, the only solution is a full system reboot.

What do you think?

Bug#451388: resize2fs: Invalid argument While trying to add group #15625

2007-11-15 Thread mds
Package: e2fsprogs
Version: 1.39+1.40-WIP-2006.11.14+dfsg-2
Severity: normal

First, I did this (from 100G):

# sudo lvresize --size 150G /dev/VG2/images
Password:
Extending logical volume images to 150.00 GB
  Logical volume images successfully resized

Then this:

# sudo resize2fs /dev/VG2/images
resize2fs 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006)
Filesystem at /dev/VG2/images is mounted on /usr/local/home/mds/images;
on-line resizing required
old desc_blocks = 400, new_desc_blocks = 600
Performing an on-line resize of /dev/VG2/images to 157286400 (1k) blocks.
resize2fs: Invalid argument While trying to add group #15625

Repeated calls to resize2fs duplicate error condition.

What will happen when I reboot?

Will I lose data? Is this volume corrupted?

What can be done to fix this?

Bug#433476: lvm2: Missing Documentation: lvresize [-r|--resizefs]

2007-07-17 Thread mds
Package: lvm2
Version: 2.02.06-4
Severity: normal

What is this option to lvresize?

lvresize
[-A|--autobackup y|n]
[--alloc AllocationPolicy]
[-d|--debug]
[-h|--help]
[-i|--stripes Stripes [-I|--stripesize StripeSize]]
{-l|--extents [+|-]LogicalExtentsNumber |
 -L|--size [+|-]LogicalVolumeSize[kKmMgGtT]}
[-n|--nofsck]
[-r|--resizefs]
[-t|--test]
[--type VolumeType]
[-v|--verbose]
[--version]
LogicalVolume[Path] [ PhysicalVolumePath... ]

I do NOT find all of the options in the man pages; nor via googling.

I just resized 2 volumes like this:

lvresize --size 4G VG1-usr
resize2fs /dev/VG1/usr

Will this [-r|--resizefs] option do same in one CLI?
