Bug#608803: libc6: Estonia joined Eurozone in Jan. 1 2011. Need to update localedata

2011-01-03 Thread mihkel
Package: libc6
Version: 2.11.2-7
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-

In January 1 2011 Estonia joined eurozone, so localedata settings need
to be updated. There is already a patch submitted to upstream, but
since Debian uses eglibc and squeeze is nearly here, I send this bug
report to inform Debian libc maintainers and in hope that Squeeze gets
released with right locale setting for et_EE.

Cheers,
mihkel

 This is it - but unfortunately, ldd is too dumb to show which library
 caused it. None of Debian's official packages are currently built
 with libva. Are you using any third-party repository such as
 debian-multimedia.org? If so, this bug report is invalid, because the
 MPD package is not the cause of the problem.

Hi,

I am using debian-multimedia.org. So I guess we can close this bug. Sorry for
the trouble ;)

Bug#565581: irssi-plugin-xmpp: Fails to connect to talk.google.com

2010-01-18 Thread mihkel
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

David Ammouial kirjutas:
  Does it also fail the first time, or just on reconnecting?
  (Just making sure.)

It fails allways

  Can you please try on the standard port and without the deprecated
  use_ssl option?

I commented out use_ssl and port

  It's very strange indeed: if the authentication succeeds, this means
  that there is a connection in the first place and that the server
  suddenly stops responding. Can you please enable the xmpp_xml_console
  setting and paste the contents of the XML communication?

This is what I get:
09:30:26 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Looking up talk.google.com
09:30:27 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Connecting to talk.google.com [192.168.1.64] port
5222
09:30:27 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Using STARTTLS encryption.
09:30:27 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Authenticated successfully.

/roster
09:32:45 -!- Irssi: Not connected to server

Later on:

09:35:26 -!- Irssi: warning talk.google.com: no response from server
09:35:26 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Connection lost to talk.google.com

xml part:

09:30:13 -!- SEND[90]:
09:30:13 -!- presence type=unavailable id=1033623850 statusResetitud
peer/status
09:30:13 -!- /presence

WHY it tries to connect to my computer? 192.168.1.64

And just for the reference .irssi/config server part looks like this now:
  {
address = talk.google.com;
#use_ssl = yes;

#port = 5223;

chatnet = jabber;
password = mypass;
autoconnect = no;

Severity: normal

After today's update to version 0.50+cvs20100105-1, it stopped working
again (#515177 was the last time). This is what irssi has to say about it:

10:23:59 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Looking up talk.google.com
10:24:00 [jabber] -!- Irssi: Reconnecting to talk.google.com [192.168.1.64] port

I haven't changed the configurations since it last time happened. In

chatnet = jabber;

and in chatnets:

promise I pay closer attention to documentation from now on :)

Bug#507537: note on #507537

2008-12-02 Thread mihkel
As always, I did not debug far enough. It turns out that the problem lay in
nicklist.pl script. When this script is loaded, long links break, when it is
unloaded, they don't. Also tried nicklist 0.4.6+ from svn - no good.
Close bug?

 I want to copy text from web browser for example and paste it into Calc and

 Steps to reproduce:
 1. Copy the following: One, two, three
 2. Open Calc and hit Ctrl+Shift+V with the intension to paste the data into
spearate
 cells (A1, B1 etc).
 3. A windows should appear where you can choose how the data is separated
 into cells - comma, tab, space etc.
 4. No window appears and all gets pasted into on cell :(

Bug#459888: rxvt-unicode: urxvt allways goes to workspace one

2008-01-09 Thread mihkel
Package: rxvt-unicode
Version: 8.7-2
Severity: normal

When urxvt is placed on a second, third... workspace, it moves itself into
workspace one after opening a new perl tab or doing something in urxvt which
has more than one tab opened.

My .Xdefaults file:

urxvt.geometry: 105x25
urxvt.background:   #4d4d4d
urxvt.foreground:   #ff
urxvt.transparent:  true
urxvt.shading:  65
urxvt.font: xft:Bitstream Vera Sans Mono:pixelsize=11
urxvt.boldFont: 9x15bold,xft:Bitstream Vera Sans Mono
urxvt.scrollBar:false
urxvt.saveLines:5500
urxvt.cursorColor:  #00ff00
urxvt.cursorBlink:  true
urxvt.colorBD:  white
urxvt*borderLess:   true
urxvt.urlLauncher:  iceweasel
urxvt.perl-ext-common:  default,matcher,tabbed
urxvt.depth:32

Steps to reproduce:
* Open urxvt on workspace two for example
* Open a new perl tab
* urxvt window stays on workspace two, but urxvt indicator on bottom GNOME
panel moves to workspace one.

Bug#458236: file-roller: Fails to add files to existing archive

2007-12-29 Thread mihkel
Package: file-roller
Version: 2.20.2-1
Severity: normal

I tried to add a text file (named control) to existing *.tar.gz
archive and it resulted with the following error message:

tar: ./control: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Steps to reproduce:

* Open a *.tar.gz archive
* Click Add Files button and select a file you want to add
* Exprerience the error message.

One other note. When I try to add a modified file to archive
eg. replace a existing one (both have the same name),
I'll lose that file inside that archive.

I don't remember :)
Actually I don't use jack that often. Last
version that I remember working properly was 0.101.1-2.

 Did the same happen with jackd 0.103.0-1?

Ciao,

Does this mean that i
can't use jackd 0.103.0-2 and newer anymore unless I upgrade my

 Hi Mihkel,

  I installed
0.103.0-1 and jack will start.

 Could you post the
output of:

 cat /proc/cpuinfo

please?

 I believe these optimisations require SSE or
3DNow! to be available on
 your CPU. If your CPU is older than
Pentium III, it may not have them.

 Cheers!

 Daniel

Bug#422078: bug-buddy: fails to start

2007-05-03 Thread Mihkel Vain

I launch it from the gnome menu :P
I've used bug-buddy before to report bugs and i've always launched it
from the menu.

But if it is functioning properly, then I guess its not a bug. Close?

 This sounds normal: bug-buddy isn't made to be launched manually. In
 fact, it shouldn't appear in your GNOME menu: how are you launching it?
