Bug#773697: network-manager: Wi-Fi not connected after computer restart if the Lan cable is disconnected

2014-12-22 Thread otas.pe
Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.10.0-4
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

So far the problem with network-manager is not solved. Every time if I restart
my laptop with disconnected Lan cable then Wi-Fi is connected to favorite
network but internet connection does not work. If during computer restart Lan
cable is connected then after Lan cable disconnecting Wi-Fi works well and
internet connection as well.

My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad B560

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR8131 Gigabit Ethernet (rev c0)
04:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless
Network Adapter (rev 01)

Broadcom firmware firmware-brcm80211 is installed. Used kernel version does not
have any effect for this issue.

Thanks

Ota

Bug#758534: network-manager: wifi connected, internet connection does not work

2014-08-18 Thread otas.pe
Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.10.0-1.1
Severity: important

Hello

After an update of network-manager, wifi connection does not work. Wifi
networks are visible, connection to the chosen network is possible but acces to
the internet is not working. Both my laptops are affected by this phenomena,
Lenovo B560 and Asus Eee Pc X101H. Wifi adapters:

04:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless
Network Adapter (rev 01)

02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter
(PCI-Express) (rev 01)

Before an update of network-manager wifi connection to the internet was OK. I
tested to replace network-manager by wicd and internet connection works without
any problem. Firmware is installed on both laptops.

Thanks

Bug#696040: gnome-shell: Gnome-shell 3.4.2-4 memory leak

2012-12-15 Thread otas.pe
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.4.2-3
Severity: important

Hello

After Gnome shell upgrading to version 3.4.2-4 there is a problem with memory
leak. When PC starts then memory usage is about 50MB. After 2-3 hours is about
200MB. I try to downgrade Gnome-shell to version 3.4.2-3 from Testing and there
is no problem. Memory usage is still about 50MB. It means that problem is in
version from Sid. My laptop is Lenovo B560 included Intel HD graphics card.
Memory leak is same with graphic driver Intel 2.19.0-6 and 2.20.14-1 as well.

Now my laptop is running on Gnome shell 3.4.2-3 without any problem.

Thanks

Bug#693152: gnome-shell: Wrong Gnome-shell setting after system reboot

2012-11-13 Thread otas.pe
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.4.2-2
Severity: important

Hello

After system reinstall (Debian Sid, Gnome) there is a problem with appearence
of Gnome-shell after reboot of the computer. Typical problem is window
appearence like in Windows95, missing font in terminal, missing battery applet.
The solution I have found is to make a new user or to delete Gnome
configuration files. This problem I have on two laptops - Asus and Lenovo both
of them have Intel HD graphics chip.

Bug#674748: gnome-shell: Gnome-shell 3.4.1-1 battery indicator frozen

2012-05-27 Thread otas.pe
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.4.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have a problem in package gnome-shell after update to version 3.4.1-1.
Battery indicator (after left click) shows all the time the same battery status
(percentage) as after computer start. Real percentage is shown only in Power
settings menu.
