Bug#878232: python2.7: urllib can't connect to HTTPS sites (presumably due to ECC)
Package: python2.7 Version: 2.7.13-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? I tried to connect to likc.me using urllib2.urlopen("https://likc.me;). Ok, that script looks like it creates /var/run/tor - what happens when you remove the one you created and try to run the init script? All is fine now. Thanks. Tor still complains about wrong permissions of /var/run/tor directory when started by vidalia under regular user, but that is completely different issue, I guess: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=642223 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#628488: [ecryptfs-utils] Need a way to stop pam_ecryptfs from automounting Private directory on login
Package: ecryptfs-utils Version: 83-4 Severity: wishlist I'd like not to have ~/Private directory automatically mounted on login, but instead I want to mount it manually, entering a password. It was mentioned, that one can just remove the auto-mount file in order to stop ~/Private from being auto-(u)mounted, but this obviously does not work, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=612160 . Also see Ubuntu bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/256154 , comments #4 to #8. So, if it will not be fixed, I need an another way to disable this auto-mounting. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.38.6-zen-3 Debian Release: wheezy/sid 500 testing ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends(Version) | Installed -+-== libc6 (= 2.2.5) | 2.13-4 libecryptfs0 | 83-4 libgpg-error0 (= 1.6-1) | 1.10-0.3 libgpgme11(= 1.1.2) | 1.2.0-1.3 libkeyutils1 | 1.4-4 libpam0g (= 0.99.7.1) | 1.1.2-3 gettext-base | 0.18.1.1-3 keyutils | 1.4-4 libnss3-1d | 3.12.9.with.ckbi.1.82-1 libpam-runtime (= 1.0.1-6) | 1.1.2-3 Package's Recommends field is empty. This line makes me suspicious that a particular image in your f-spot library is causing the program to crash. Would you be able to try cleaning your library out and using f-spot then? Sorry, should have mentioned that you do this by removing or moving ~/.config/f-spot/photos.db I've built f-spot 0.8.2-2 with apt-src and installed it. I'm afraid, the bug it still there, I cannot get working f-spot at all, all I get is error dialog, f-spot terminates after I press Close button. This line makes me suspicious that a particular image in your f-spot library is causing the program to crash. Would you be able to try cleaning your library out and using f-spot then? I don't have any images in the f-spot library, for it is the first time I've installed f-spot on this machine, and f-spot was never run at all. Removing ~/.config/f-spot directory did not help. You could also try installing f-spot 0.8.2.2 from testing and see if that fixes your problem. It has much more robust image loading code. Bug#626372: [dolphin] cycling images with identical filenames in nepomuk search results on mouse movement
Package: dolphin Version: 4:4.4.5-3 Severity: normal When you have thumbnails of images with identical filenames in the Dolphin NEPOMUK search results, and move mouse over one of these thumbnails and move it off, Dolphin cycles this thumbnail and all the following thumbnails having the same name, so this thumbnail becomes the last, thumbnail right of it becomes first one, and so on. Steps to reproduce: 1. create several directories under directory that nepomuk indexes. Let it be 001, 002, 003, ... 2. in each of these directories put several images, so that names in each directory will be identical. You will have the structure like: 001/ 001/01.jpg 001/02.jpg 001/03.jpg 002/ 002/01.jpg 002/02.jpg 002/03.jpg ... 003/ 003/01.jpg 003/02.jpg etc. 3. Assign all of these images some tag, say 'SampleTag', using gwenview. 4. Open Dolphin and write in the address bar: hasTag:SampleTag 5. Press Enter. You will be presented with thumbnails of images found. 6. Move mouse pointer over first of them and off it. Dolphin will cycle thumbnails, so the second thumbnail will become the first, third become the second one, ..., and image that was the first will become the last image in the sequence of images with the same name. Bug#617206: [firestarter] Firestarter refuses to start
Package: firestarter Version: 1.0.3-8 Severity: normal Firestarter just silently fails to start after installation, if started through the KDE4 menu (command is su-to-root -X -c /usr/sbin/firestarter). I tried to run it from the shell, as su-to-root -c /usr/sbin/firestarter, and got message box, saying: A proper configuration for Firestarter was not found. If you are running Firestarter from the directory you built it in, run 'make install-data-local' to install a configuration, or simply 'make install' to install the whole program. Firestarter will now close. I tried to run it as gksu firestarter, and got these messages: The program 'firestarter' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 160 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) Reboot did not help either. After all, I run it as kdesudo firestarter, it finally started and I did go through the wizard and got working firestarter.
