Bug#623570: openssh-server: ssh -X user@server hangs after logout

2011-04-21 Thread wforumw
Package: openssh-server
Version: 1:5.5p1-6
Severity: normal

Steps to reproduce:
user@client:~$ ssh -X user@server
user@server:~$ emacs

user@server:~$ exit
logout

At this point the terminal hangs on the echo logout, but does not return to the
client prompt.
I see on the server that dbus-launch is not killed alfter logout

user 11977 1 0 12:11 ? dbus-launch --autolaunch
f18dcb654cb9841d2d04cee70d33 --binary-syntax --close-stderr

When I kill this process manually the user gets back his prompt.

Another work around to this issue
When logging out with "exit" and it hangs, press Ctrl-C

I tried this on different servers running 'squeeze' and all have the same
issue.
