Package: elfutils Version: 0.183-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
While experimenting with drgn [1], I ran into a crash[3], which seems to be from a bug introduced in elfutils 0.183 and fixed in 0.186[2]. I don't know if said bug meets the threshold for a backport on stable, but figured I'd ask, since the alternative is that I carry my own elfutils packages until bookworm... - Rich [1] - https://github.com/osandov/drgn [2] - https://sourceware.org/git/?p=elfutils.git;a=commit;h=828024afc517e266f3226b469ba33f372b401821 [3] - https://github.com/osandov/drgn/issues/130 -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (1000, 'stable-updates'), (1000, 'stable-security'), (1000, 'stable-debug'), (1000, 'stable'), (901, 'proposed-updates'), (900, 'oldstable-proposed-updates-debug'), (900, 'oldstable-debug'), (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'proposed-updates-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages elfutils depends on: ii libasm1 0.183-1 ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u2 ii libdw1 0.183-1 ii libelf1 0.183-1 ii libstdc++6 10.2.1-6 elfutils recommends no packages. elfutils suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed
