Bug#1040782: bug not present in 2.99.16

2023-08-26 Thread graeme vetterlein
To help in narrowing this down, I installed the version from  the
experimental repo.

I got 2.99.16. This does not appear to show the bug, so I guess it's a
Debian packaging issue.

Bug#1040782: working with GIMP 2.10.30

2023-08-02 Thread graeme vetterlein

In case it helps in narrowing it down.

I have the wacom tablet connected via a USB switch. If I switch the
hardware to a Kubuntu system running GIMP 2.10.30, it works fine.

The failing system is a "dev box", so if you want me to try a number of
versions (and give brief instructions) I can do that.

As I said previously, the failing system just moved from bookwork to
trixie, I'm afraid I didn't note the (working) gimp version prior to
upgrade.

I confirm this bug. I have a Wacom Intuos Pro M, and when one of the

Bug#1040782: gimp: Using wacom tablet to chose menu crashes gimp

Dear Maintainer,

Open GIMP (wilber-big.jpg) using mouse select pencil, draw a line,
change size (in menu) draw line.
Repeat using wacom bamboo tablet . as soon as you try to change size, Gimp
crashes (many other actions cause this abort, this is just a specific
example (this is immediately after ugrading SID from bookwork to trixie)
