Package: barrier Version: 2.4.0+dfsg-4 Severity: normal Tags: patch upstream
barrier GUI is meant to automatically generate a self-signed SSL certificate if SSL is enabled in settings but it doesn't because the code that saves the cert tries to open the file for reading instead of for writing. This was fixed in upstream: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/pull/1425, but never made it into any release. Can you perhaps include this patch in the Debian package? -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers stable-security APT policy: (990, 'stable-security'), (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.6.15-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_CPU_OUT_OF_SPEC, TAINT_USER, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages barrier depends on: ii libavahi-compat-libdnssd1 0.8-13+b2 ii libc6 2.38-11 ii libgcc-s1 14-20240330-1 ii libqt5core5t64 [libqt5core5a] 5.15.10+dfsg-7.2+b1 ii libqt5gui5t64 [libqt5gui5] 5.15.10+dfsg-7.2+b1 ii libqt5network5t64 [libqt5network5] 5.15.10+dfsg-7.2+b1 ii libqt5widgets5t64 [libqt5widgets5] 5.15.10+dfsg-7.2+b1 ii libssl3t64 [libssl3] 3.2.1-3 ii libstdc++6 14-20240330-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.7-1+b1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.4-1+b1 ii libxi6 2:1.8.1-1 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.4-3+b1 ii libxrandr2 2:1.5.4-1 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.3-1.1+b1 ii openssl 3.2.1-3 barrier recommends no packages. barrier suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Tomáš "liskin" ("Pivník") Janoušek, https://lisk.in/
