I was running a Salsa CI job and noticed a failure with the arm64 cross-compile job due to the following error: ```sh Setting up python3.11-minimal:arm64 (3.11.9-1) ... /var/lib/dpkg/info/python3.11-minimal.postinst: 51: /usr/bin/python3.11: Exec format error dpkg: error processing package python3.11-minimal:arm64 (--configure): installed python3.11-minimal:arm64 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 126 Errors were encountered while processing: python3.11-minimal:arm64 E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) E: Failed to process build dependencies ``` As that job succeeded before, I looked a bit further and noticed this: ```sh Get:22 http://deb.debian.org/debian sid/main arm64 python3 arm64 3.11.8-1 [27.4 kB] ``` but also this: ```sh Get:451 http://deb.debian.org/debian sid/main amd64 python3-lib2to3 all 3.12.3-3.1 [77.7 kB] Get:452 http://deb.debian.org/debian sid/main amd64 python3-distutils all 3.12.3-3.1 [131 kB] ``` Based on that version number I *assume* it targets python3 version 3.12, while src:python3-defaults is at version 3.11.8-1 in Testing and Sid. Experimental has version 3.12.1 though. Shouldn't those versions be in sync with each other? Due to my assumption I didn't make it RC, but if my assumption is correct, then a RC severity seems appropriate.
