Package: artha Version: 1.0.5-3 Severity: minor X-Debbugs-Cc: debbug.ar...@sideload.33mail.com
There is frustration in finding an English dictionary by searching the apt DB because there are lots of simple world lists and translation libraries which do not provide word definitions. This is worsened by the fact that Artha is not even described as a dictionary. IIUC, a dictionary is in fact the primary purpose of Artha. I have no idea why the author just describes it as a thesaurus, but in this case the Debian package should probably not just be a copy of the upstream description. This was reported upstream 12 years ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/artha/+bug/998635 -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (990, 'stable-updates'), (990, 'stable-security'), (990, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-28-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages artha depends on: ii libc6 2.36-9+deb12u7 ii libdbus-1-3 1.14.10-1~deb12u1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.112-3 ii libglib2.0-0 2.74.6-2+deb12u2 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.33-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.4-2+deb12u2 ii wordnet 1:3.0-37 Versions of packages artha recommends: ii libenchant-2-2 2.3.3-2 ii libnotify4 0.8.1-1 ii wordnet-sense-index 1:3.0-37 Versions of packages artha suggests: ii aspell-en 2020.12.07-0-1 -- no debconf information
