Bug#252214: /usr/X11R6/bin/xev: xev -id misses events

2007-04-12 Thread Brice Goglin
Hi,

About 3 years ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS regarding xev
-id missing some events. Did you reproduce this problem recently? With
Xorg/Etch? If not, I will close this bug in the next weeks.

Thanks,
Brice

Thank you again for following up! On a current unstable system, the
behavior is the same as indicated in the bug log. In case it helps,
here are more explicit steps to reproduce:

1. Open an xterm.
2. Run xprop | grep -w id, click on the xterm, and note the id.
3. Run xev -id 0x, where the last argument is the id.
4. Play around in the xterm and note the mysterious behavior.

This bug probable needs a NOBODYCARES tag. :-)

Andrew
