Hello, I believe I just encountered this same bug: gnome-appearance-properties allowed the selection of the background and modified the correct gconf key (/desktop/gnome/background/picture_filename), but the background image was not modified on the desktop.
So then I restarted nautilus using 'nautilus -q' in gnome-terminal and right away the correct background image was displayed, and now when I select different backgrounds, the background image on the desktop is changed. Is there any possibility that this is a bug in nautilus and not in gnome-control-center? Also, if this happens again, is there anything else I can do to assist in figuring out what the problem is? In case it matters, my system is running a fairly up-to-date testing: nautilus: 2.30.1-1 gnome-control-center: 1:2.30.1-1 Thanks, James Dietrich -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
