Could you try with a fresh account without dot files  and _not_ run
update-menus there ? That will allow to narrow the problem.

KDE now uses menu-xdg for menu but maybe you have remaining entries from
the pre menu-xdg era.

Probably this bug should be reassigned to kicker.

Yes I had. I removed everything in .kde/share/applink, and restarted KDE
(kicking kicker would have be enough, I think), and everything is nice!

 Probably this bug should be reassigned to kicker.
