You should use -gui/back 0.9.5. But of course they are not available in debian. I cannot upload them alone because I am not an official Debian Developer and Matthias Klose ( my sponsor and co-maintainer of GNUstep Core package) is on vacation. So you're saying this is a general problem and really is an RC bug? Please adjust the severity as needed. No, I mean that uses newest -base with old -gui is not tested ant not supported upstream. It should work but with untested stuff, you should expect troubles. On i386, it build fine. It's probably an amd64 only bug, thus it's not an RC bug. And it's not sure this is really a -base/gui/back version problem, this is just the first thing I thought. There is also a new upstream version of gworkspace. May I suggest that you try to define the relations between those packages better so that such problems can be avoided in the future. Difficult, because upstream is unpredictable. But usually, we don't upload new apps when core packages are not ready. (gworkspace was uploaded before gnustep-base, it should have been built with -base 1.10.1 and not 1.10.2) Eric But if you are a DD, and want to sponsor these 3 uploads ... the packages are ready. I'm not DD. If you know a DD who would want to sponsor these uploads ... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Looking at an older build log it was tried with libgnustep-base1.10-dev 1.10.1-3 too with the same result. So I don't think it's a problem related to the version. Right, you have eliminated this possibility. If you have gnustep-gui-common installed, could you try to type make_services, and report what 's happening ?
