Bug#307896: BGP (+MD5 patch) is buggy?

2005-05-07 Thread Christian Hammers
severity 307896 normal
thanks

Thanks to the help of Ernesto Elbe I was able to get some BGP full feeds
with and without TCP+MD5. Kernel 2.4.28 and Quagga 0.98.3-7 - the
version targetet for Sarge do work.

(I leave the bug report open as there are probably issues in Kernel 2.4.30
and Quagga 0.99.1 but this is no longer RC)

bye,

-christian-

Bug#307896: BGP (+MD5 patch) is buggy?

2005-05-06 Thread Christian Hammers
Package: quagga
Version: 0.98.3-7
Severity: important
Tags: sarge moreinfo

As reported by Ernesto Elbe (in German and thus not quoted):
The last version of Quagga which is supposed to go into Sarge seems to
stall if more than two Prefixes are received using BGP + MD5 in a multihop
setup.

I can see no relevant changes in the .diff.gz between 0.98.3-5 and 0.98.3-7.

More info and a confirmation was requested as this bug would be RC.

bye,

Bug#307896: BGP (+MD5 patch) is buggy?

2005-05-06 Thread Christian Hammers
As Ernesto just reported the problem is in all 0.98.3 versions so it
was either introduced by upstream after 0.98.1 or is the kernel patch.

It also only affects multihop bgp.

The testet peers were Extreme summit7i.

I asked him to get in touch with Hasso Teppe, the bug author and maybe
