Bug#312677: i810_audio played too slowly

2006-05-14 Thread Jurij Smakov

Hi Stefan,

In your (rather old) bug report from June 2005 (#312677) you mention
problems with the i810_audio driver in 2.6.11 kernel. This kernel is no
longer in Debian, and more modern kernels seem to work fine (I have an
i810 audio card myself). I'd appreciate if you could confirm that it works
for you as well. Please reply within two weeks, otherwise I'll assume that
the bug is no longer relevant for any kernel which are currently for
testing or unstable, and close it.

Thanks,

Bug#312677: i810_audio played too slowly

2005-06-09 Thread Stefan Strasser
Package: kernel-source-2.6.11
Version: 2.6.11-5
Severity: normal

as reported before for 2.6.10,
from time to time i810_audio module is initialized incorrectly and audio is
played too slowly, like when you're playing a 44100 wave as 22050 Hz.
(well, it was from time to time with 2.6.10. just happened the first time on
2.6.11)

possible relevant information:

diff in output:
successful:
 i810_audio: setting clocking to 49209
---
unsuccessful:
 i810_audio: setting clocking to 33141

SMP hyperthreading in kernel enabled.

note that the problem is in the module itself, since reloading the module can
fix this, no need to reboot.
