The problem has been found in all ISO CD images of i386 Debian 3.1 (and
3.1 r0a), provided by ftp.nl.debian.org and ftp2.fr.debian.org. (others
haven't been tested).
The problem is known, a note has been present on the release information
page http://www.debian.org/CD/releases/ for a few days. I have just added
an entry in the CD FAQ at http://www.debian.org/CD/faq/#debian31r0:
toc-add-entry name=debian31r0I have downloaded/bought the 3.1 rev0
(or rev0a) images, but the disc's README says that this is an
unofficial CD of the current development version!/toc-add-entry
pThe README is wrong, in fact the images emare/em the official
3.1 rev0a images. Due to a mistake, the README information for an
unofficial rather than an official image was used - sorry about the
confusion! As this is considered to be a minor issue, it will only be
fixed for the rev1 images, there will not be a 3.1 rev0b release./p
This correction could be added also to mirrors:/debian-cd/3.1_r0a/HEADER.html
file.
