Run the postinst script with sh -x, maybe it helps.

Or tell me how you tested it, to see if i can reproduce it.

Hmm, okay, maybe it was something else.  I'm doing it in a UML
which might cause problems.  I will investigate.  You can close

I just tested it and it works ok.
Did you think it froze at "Restarting Xmail" stage ? It takes a long
while for xmail to close all its proccesses.
