Package: fam Version: 2.7.0-7 Followup-For: Bug #315591 After discussing this bug with the submitter in IRC, it turns out that the cause was that he had gamin installed, and therefore libgamin0 which Provides/Conflicts/Replaces libfam0c102. Installing fam caused removal of gamin and libgamin0, and thus all those packages whose libfam0c102 dependency was being satisfied by libgamin0.
If there's a bug here, it's that apt didn't realize that the libfam0c102 dependency could be satisfied in another way (by installing libfam0c102 itself, even though fam doesn't depend on it), but making it do that would probably be more effort than it's worth. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages fam depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.0-11 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.6-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages fam recommends: pn portmap <none> (no description available) -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
