Bug#315865: Error in Kernel-Source-2.6.11 , Module tuner.c
Hi Ulrich, I've bumped into your old bug report (#315865) against kernel 2.6.11. As this kernel version is no longer in Debian, I have to ask whether you are still experiencing problems described in the bug report. I've looked at the 2.6.16 kernel tree which is currently in unstable, and could not even find the tuner.c file you mention, so there is a fair chance that the bug has been already fixed :-). If I'll not hear anything from you in two weeks, I'll assume that the bug is not relevant anymore, and close it. Bug#315865: Error in Kernel-Source-2.6.11 , Module tuner.c
Package: Kernel-Source-2.6.11 Version: 2.6.11 When I try to load the module tuner (either via modconf or via modprobe), it refuses to taek additional parameters (like tuner=5 pll=10). Syslog says: Jun 26 08:49:30 protheus1 kernel: tuner: Unknown parameter `type' Jun 26 08:49:50 protheus1 kernel: tuner 0-0060: chip found @ 0xc0 (bt878 #0 [sw]) With kernel-2.6.10 it works o.k. I checked the difference in Kernel-source, but did not find a mistake. Both kernels are self-made. Both kernels run without initrd. In kernel 2.6.11 I can insmod the modul tuner only without additional parameters, but then it does not work correctly. I am using Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 (sid) , kernel 2.6.11 and libc6 2.3.2.dsl-22 Thanks for your help ! Best regards Hans-J.
