Bug#316779: zlib: FTBFS on amd64: No rule to make target `binary-lib32z1', needed by `binary-arch'.

2005-07-03 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Package: zlib
Version: 1:1.2.2-5
Severity: important

Hi,

Your package is failing to build on amd64 with the following
error:
dpkg-deb: building package `zlib-bin' in `../zlib-bin_1.2.2-5_amd64.deb'.
make: *** No rule to make target `binary-lib32z1', needed by `binary-arch'.

There doesn't appear to be such a target, and I think the same is
lacking for the 64 bit versions.

PS: It has post-binary-lib34z1, which probably is a typo,
changing that to post-binary-lib32z1 doesn't fix it.

Kurt

It might be helpful if you could share the output from the build with me...

Unfortunately I have to work on this blind since I don't have access to
an amd64 machine with the appropriate tools to do test builds.

Nope, everything's there for 64 bit (some of the rules are implicit).

I'm sorry, I should have added the url to the buildd log:
http://amd64.ftbfs.de/fetch.php?&pkg=zlib&ver=1%3A1.2.2-5&arch=amd64&stamp=1120422546&file=log&as=raw

You should be able to get access on ravel.hpc2n.umu.se, contact
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I don't know what the state of the other public box
pergolesi.debian.org is.

Do you have one for the case where the trivial fix (34->32) has been
tried? That's more interesting...

I should already have a login on another system but due to use of GPG
to mail me the account details I can't check that yet (I also can't work
on this until then anyway).

It works fine but doesn't have all the build deps I need on it (I've
asked for them but they've not been added yet).
