Package: gcc Version: 4:4.0.0-1 Severity: wishlist It is a sad but true fact that some people write silly make files which don't respect CC environemnt variables and other such ways of specifying gcc version. It would be nice if gcc were integrated into the update-alternatives system, so that one could override the default gcc version,
