Bug#318072: openoffice.org2-evolution: Does not need dependency on openoffice.org2-base

2005-07-13 Thread Heikki Henriksen
Package: openoffice.org2-evolution
Version: 1.9.114-1
Severity: wishlist
Tags: experimental

Having gone through and checked all linked files in the package, I can
not find the reason for the dependency on openoffice.org2-base.

Unless I've missed something obvious completely, I would really
appreciate it if this dependency is removed :)

Cheers.

Hi,

$ dpkg --contents openoffice.org2-common_1.9.116-0.pre1_all.deb | grep odb
-rw-r--r-- root/root 2790 2005-07-13 00:34:19
./usr/lib/openoffice2/presets/database/biblio.odb
-rw-r--r-- root/root 3759 2005-07-13 00:34:19
./usr/lib/openoffice2/presets/database/evolocal.odb

Because of the second I made -evolution depend on -base because it
somehow contains a odb for evolution...

Ah, ok.

I checked which libraries /usr/lib/openoffice2/program/libevoab2.so
linked against, and never figured there were any evo-related stuff in
-common.

Cheers keep up the good work.

Bug#318072: openoffice.org2-evolution: Does not need dependency on openoffice.org2-base

2005-07-13 Thread Heikki Henriksen
I just tried to do some tests with the evolution-integration, and even
tho' I never got far, it's quite obvious that ooo2-evo needs the
base-component. ;)

If I find the time, I might look further into and report all the
crashes I just experienced, but at least they got nothing to do with
this wishlist-bug, so I'll close it.

Cheers.
