I tried jigdo once again (had it uninstalled in the meantime and installed aria instead, which works nicely with Mozilla Firefox Flashgot). Right, you can enter any http/ftp url in the window. Since this is non-obvious, I didn't spot this. If jigdo is meant to be a general purpose download manager, something ought to be done about the interface. Furthermore, jigdo seems to forget about running downloads when I close and restart the application - isn't that a grave bug for a download manager? I mean, what's its advantage compared to a browser's built-in download capability if it doesn't even remember downloads?
