It's a "religious" issue :-) Many people don't like to change old
changelog entries. My opinion is that fixing erroneous information is
the "right thing"(TM) to do. Also, IIRC the new version support of the
BTS parses changelog looking for "closes" entry, thus leaving there
misleading information is not a good idea ...

Odd, I thought I closed that bug in the last upload.

argh, it seems that I have closed the wrong bug.

311081 instead of 321081.

I'll close the bug. Btw, am I allowed to change the changelog to reflect
the right bugreport ?

Regards,

Can you post an example on which the problem is reproducible?

I tried adding dashes at random in the domain part of search entries and
vim never highlighted them as errors. Also, at first glance, dash seems
to be properly handled in the syntax highlighting code of resolve.conf.

Thanks for the report.
Cheers.

2005-08-03 Thread Nicholas Fechner
Package: vim-common

Severity: minor

Hi,
when syntax highlighting is enabled, Vim colors a "search" entry in
/etc/resolv.conf in white on red if the domain includes a dash (-),
indicating an error.

Bye, Nicholas Fechner
